I ran, Primrose Shade chasing me. I figured out her secret. I ran so fast, I felt like I was flying. I had known for a while, but I never imagined something like this. Hold up, let's start from the beginning. I was riding in the front seat of the car, waiting to get to the new house. My mom drove us, all the while singing along to her strange old songs. We were moving from Hawaii to New York. She told me that we were living in an area with not many people, a nice neighborhood, and a high school a few blocks away. Hi, my name is Hannah Highmore. I'm 16 years old and will be going to Pinewood Highschool soon. My mom had paid people to move our stuff here so that we could make one trip and enjoy ourselves. And very soon, my mom and I pulled up to a very nice house, with a balcony from the master, a swimming pool out back, and lots of rooms. "We're here!" My mom said in a sing-song voice. I got out of the bright blue car, grabbing the bag that my friends had made me before I left. We walked into the box-filled house and I went upstairs to choose my room out of the 5 bedrooms. I chose the smaller master bedroom. It had a giant window, floor to ceiling in front of where my bed would be overlooking the pool and backyard, a bathroom connecting to my room, and very soon, I would have a queen-sized bed that is super soft. It had a furnace and an antler-type chandelier. It had dark wood walls and it was kind of small but cozy, perfect. I set down my bag that held a sketch pad, colored pens, pencils, a Pinewood High sweat-shirt, and my favorite book, Twilight. I heard the doorbell ring and then heard, "Hannah! Come downstairs, one of the neighbor's kids wants to be your friend! She said she goes to Pinewood Highschool!" I walked down the stairs and saw a girl just a little shorter than me wearing an ombre' dress going red from the bottom to white at the top and she had a basket full of food. My mom went to get more boxes. She spoke as soon as I walked up to her, "Hello, Hannah Highmore,. . . I'm Primrose Shade, my friends call me Prim though. I live on the mansion on the hill." Hannah stared for a moment, then asked, "How did you know my name?" "Your mom told me, and I saw the mailbox which has Highmore engraved into it." "Oh, right. So, you're going to Pinewood High?" "Oh yes, I do hope we can be good friends-" She paused smiling strangely, "I made a little necklace with a vial filled with water and food coloring, drink for a little refreshment if you want to. It's perfectly safe." Once she stopped speaking, she held up a little vile, maybe 2 centimeters long on a gold chain. I took it from her, along with the food basket. I noticed she wore the same vile necklace. "Okay, thanks. See you in a few days I guess." I smiled and she walked away without saying anything. What the heck, I thought I shut the door and then retreated to the kitchen to set down the food basket. My mom asked me what Primrose had said and I told her. The rest of the day we unpacked boxes and furniture and we were done with the bottom rooms quickly. We relaxed after a long day in the kitchen drinking smoothies while someone set up our beds and TVs. We set up the rest of the boxes through the weekend and finally, we were unpacked. We got things done quickly, that's what dad always told us, 'On the double!' He would say and we would be done twice as fast. That's because he was in the army, he died though. However, my mom and I have done just fine. We still get sad but, it's okay. Anyway, I finally had my room done and I slept for the first night in my new bed. It was so comfy, I fell asleep in like 5 minutes. The next morning, I went to school on the bus and sat with Primrose, oops, she insists that I call her Prim. I noticed that no one sat near us and the bus was packed, we had the last 4 rows of the bus to ourselves. People were sitting 3 or 4 to a seat. When we got to school it was the same situation, any chance they got, kids would inch their desks away. This happened all day, every day. And every day, Prim acted even weirder. That Friday, we got off the bus and she literally stopped in the yard and didn't move. I waved my hand in front of her face and she didn't even blink. "Okay, I'm going inside, see you this weekend." This happened every Friday, I would look out a few hours later and she would still be in the same spot. About one year later, Prim was still doing this. We had become decent friends, but I found out something huge, everyone kept telling me that Primrose Shade was evil, but she's not. She's just a 103-year-old witch. Okay, let's be honest. That terrifies me. She proved this by making me float with a light as air spell with her black wand, it had primroses carved into it. She read out of her spellbook that had been struck by lightning. Her house on the inside was all run down, but she used magic to make it look normal. However, now that I knew, I saw Prim everywhere. Everywhere. One time I woke up in the middle of the night and thought I saw her but, it was probably just a dream. A few nights later, we had a week off for a break. I woke up around 3 a.m. and could have sworn that I saw Prim on a broom whispering something. I sat up and realized that she was outside my window. Her head faced away from me but, she held her wand and she was whispering something, like a... spell! I ran downstairs, looking for my mom. She usually stayed up to about 4 because of her job. I saw a note on the kitchen counter and grabbed it. It said, 'I had to go to work early, sorry, love you!' I ran into the bathroom, locking the door behind me. I stayed in there until about 8 a.m. then I went back to my room. The door was closed. I slowly cracked open the door and stepped inside. I looked around and didn't see Prim. The window had been shattered and there was a note on the bed with glass shards all around it. It had bloodstains on it, and it said, 'You know where to find me, you have 30 minutes to come...' I looked up angrily, she tried to put a spell on me, and now she wants me to meet her?! I ran out of my house and up the hill to her mansion. I pushed open the door and stomped angrily inside, I went to where the living room should be and saw my mom laying passed out on the dusty old couch. This made me even angrier. "I know you're here!" I heard a WOOSH sound coming from the balcony right above and I looked up, Prim had jumped and was flying to the ground. I yelled at her, she had no right to try and cast a spell on me. And then capture my mom. She would pay. I lunged and pushed her over. We rolled across the floor and then I punched her, hard. She got dizzy and passed out. I ran, leaving the door open behind me. Then it slipped my mind, I forgot my mom. I ran in and remembering I had the necklace on, I ripped it off and then tried to drag my mom out. She was too heavy, but then I remembered the light as air spell. I said it, moving my hands the way Prim had, and mom floated up. Then Prim slowly stood up and I blasted her with a spell. She stood up shocked and then yelled, "Witch!" She chased me but, I got away just in time. I grabbed my mom's hand and ran out of the house. I slammed my house door and locked everything. I undid the spell on my mom and then put her into her bed. It's been 5 years and now I'm 22. I haven't heard from Primrose Shade at all and she never came to school after that. As soon I was old enough and had enough money, I moved back to Hawaii. My mom still lives there but, I'm pretty sure she's safe. So, I'm a witch. It's okay though, I use it for good. Not evil. Brrrring! Brrrring! My phone went. It was an unknown number but, I remember my mom saying she was getting a new phone. So, I answered. "I have something important for you, come back to Pinewood if you want it." Then the call went dead. Prim. She had my mom. I booked a flight to New York and then boarded about an hour later. I got into a taxi and told the driver to go to Pinewood. Finally, we got there, I ran out, throwing much more money at the driver than the real amount. I ran inside my old house and slammed the door behind me. "Primrose Shade! Show yourself!" She slowly glided down the stairs. She looked the same as she did 5 years ago. "Dear Hannah. We have been friends for...So long. How about forever? And if you refuse, I'll kill him..." She tilted her head and grinned at her last sentence. Then she floated someone down the stairs. It took me a moment to see them as it was getting darker. Then I realized. It was. My. Dad. The End...
A/N: Why was the ending. So. Dramatic. LMAO this is hilarious
