[Chapter Two]

"I already hate the exam." Luz groaned with a large amount of exaggeration. They'd been studying for at least a few hours now.

"Maybe we could take a break", Amity rolled her eyes as they landed back at her knuckles.

They were pure white from gripping on the pencil the whole time. Amity bit her lip and dropped the pencil, finally feeling the painful feeling of the cramped hand.

"Uh, you okay there Blighty?" Luz asked, peaking her head from behind Amity.

The teal haired girl flinched and twisted her head around to face Luz.

"Me? Pft, of course, I'm great", she awkwardly laughed.

Luz shrugged and rested her neck on Amity's shoulder. You didn't have to be a genius to guess the two teens were bored. But they didn't know what they wanted to do. Luz came up with an idea and started digging through her bag.

"Video games?" Luz said, holding up a blue controller.

Amity sighed and took it from her hands. "Video games."

Once the two checked the time there was only one solution, Luz would stay the night. Despite the awkward gay tention in the air, they thought they'd be fine in a house, alone, together.

"Your lucky I like spending time with you", Luz giggled, standing beside Amity.

They looked at each other through the mirror, and slight blush covered the Blight's face. Luz put her hands under the running water and ran her hands through her now wet hair. Luz noticed Amity was staring and she sprayed her with a little bit of water.

"H-hey! ", Amity hissed.

Luz giggled at the girls reaction and put her arm around the Blights shoulders. Amity's heart had a now burning hatred for Luz in the moment.

Amity pried Luz's arms off her and huffed, "I hate you."

"Awe c'mon, y'know you love me", Luz hummed before walking out of the room.

"Yeah..I do", Amity whispered to herself as she trailed Luz.

"Now heres the big question, where am I going to sleep?"

"You can sleep in the spare room, it's just down the hall", Amity said.

Luz nodded and started walking out the door before she stopped.

"I-..um..I suppose your not too bad", Luz smiled to Amity before she walked out.

Amity's face then flushed in red as she screamed into a pillow. But now that Luz had left the room, she'd just felt..alone. She wanted to go see Luz. She wanted to talk to Luz for just a few moments more. Have just a few moments more to look at her lips. To hear her laugh. Despite the hatred they'd had for each other at the start, Amity always knew that Luz was a great person. She just didn't know how to tell Luz. That she was sorry.

Amity stood up and headed towards her door, but before she could open the door she heard a small knock from the other side. She instantly opened the door and saw the girl standing in front of her finch a bit.

"Ah, man you've got some quick grabbers, heh", Luz said.

They stood in silence for a second before Luz started up the conversation again.

"I-i was just going to say that..it's uh..kinda lonely sleeping on my own. You wouldn't mind if-"

"STAY! I-i mean, yes, you can sleep in here tonight..aha.."
