you wake up to the sound of the birds singing outside. through the window, the sun was gently touching your smooth pale skin. your bed covers are so warm and soft that getting up sounded like the biggest drag. (casually quotes Shikamaru) you stretched your arms as you yawned. that's when the memories from the day before come flowing in. albedo.. you got up into a seating position and told yourself

''no Y/n, you are not going to think about him right now. you have better things to focus on like finding your subling and- and completing your commissions. so get yourself together and focus!''

and with that, you gave yourself a reassuring smile and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

time skip 10 minutes

''ok, I give up.''

you said to yourself while holding a cup of hot coffee in your hand. he simply wouldn't leave your mind and you chose not to fight with your thoughts anymore.

y/n pov:

I left my house to do my daily commissions and condense my resin. I walked through the streets of Mondstadt enjoying the weather and the vibe of the city. Mondstadt truly was my comfort place. I wasn't sure if it was due to the aesthetic of the city or if it's because it was the first place I visited when I came to Teyvat, but my heart felt at peace here. unfortunately,

that peace did not last long because all of a sudden I started noticing couples walking together holding hands. for some reason that made me feel uncomfortable and almost sad at some point.

was it because i felt lonely or..or.., ugh, we all know the reason, Albedo. i did not believe in love at first sight and if someone would tell me that they could not stop thinking about

them after meeting that person once, i would think that they're crazy, but after what i experienced so far, my beliefs are changing rapidly and it was scary but i did nothing to stop it.

as i was coming up to the crafting table i saw Sucrose.

"hey, how are you doing today Sucrose?"

"oh, hey Y/N, I'm good. and you?"

"ok i guess... so i was wondering if you need me to deliver any more experimental results to Albedo... since i have my commissions in Dragonspine today i thought i could help you out with

that..."

"umm, no Y/n, but thanks for the offer. I'll let you know if anything changes."

"ok sure, see you later."

"bye Y/N."

i was kind of emo about that. ugh, yes i am desperate about seeing him at this point. whatever..

time skip to the commission in Dragonspine

Dragonspine was freezing as always today. this time it was the ley line commission. i smiled to myself knowing that this is going to be a piece of cake. activating the leyline i got ready to destroy these little fuckers. the first group of hilichurls came at me and i simply created a tornado. the group of hilichurls got caught in it and ended up dead. the second group was already charging at the leyline i was meant to protect.

"oh no, i do not think so." i said as i charged at them.

i enhanced my sword with the power of anemo and as it came in contact with the hilichurls, they were pushed away and died due to the direct hit and fall damage.

"ok, last one." i smirked as i charged at the final group of hilichurls. my sword slicing through them easily and my technique sharp avoiding their hits. as i killed the last hilichurl, the leyline closed indicating the commission was over. i signed as i was getting ready to go visit Kathryn.

"nice technique but don't you think you went too hard on those hilichurls?"

i froze, that voice...

"Albedo.."

"hey Y/n."

"oh hey. why are you here? are you spying on me?" i said jokingly. he came up closer to me and grabbed my chin lifting my head up to look him in the eyes.

"maybe, you certainly seem interesting enough for me to observe and study.." he looked up and down my body as i blushed and tried to look away but Albedo wouldn't let me as his grip on my chin was gentle yet strong enough to control my movements. i looked him in the eyes. he had icy blue eyes like the ocean and despite my ability to swim, i was drowning in them. his eyes were relaxed which made him look hot and made me blush harder. Albedo had a slight mysterious smirk on his face which surely made me question what he was gonna do to me because, despite my ability to read people, i could not tell what was going on in that noggin of his. that was scary yet it made me want to hang out and learn about him more. Albedo let go of my chin.

"riddle me this Y/n how come you use the power of anemo yet i cannot see a vision on you?" hold up, so is that why he was studying my body. damn, what a bummer.

"ugh.. I don't know actually... i just kind of resonate with the statue of the seven and use the power it grants me."

"that is certainly very interesting. Y/n i was wondering if you would let me study and learn more about you? i am interested where this power of yours comes from."

"Sure why not. i am curious about my power too to be honest so i guess fit will benefit both of us. just one question, what is this little study of yours gonna include."

"well for starters, i am going to take you to my camp and make sure my subject is fully prepared for the test aka food and some hot drinks to get you warmed up because i can clearly see you are cold by that right hand of yours shaking. then i will give you a few fighting challenges where you will need to use your anemo power and by the results of those i hope to understand how you are using the anemo power without a vision."

"wow, sounds sick. let's go!" i said happily. yeah it may not be a date and he may only think of me as his experimental subject but this is an opportunity for me to hang out with Albedo and

i don't care what it is but i am all in.
