"So, this is the library. Haven't been here in a while." Olivia nodded and sat down at the empty table near the window. "It's a nice library. What motivates you?" Shawn leaned back in his chair and shook his hair. "Well, if the girl is really pretty and has nice lips, I'm pretty motivated." Muttering under her breath, she kicked the legs of his chair back down to ground level. "I meant academically. My dad used to help me with my homework and every time I got a question right, he'd give me a piece of chocolate. Or I can buy stickers if you don't like candy." He chuckled a bit. "You trying to fatten me up and somehow make me smarter at the same time?" She shrugged and laid out her books. "Fine, no candy. Have anything against stickers?" He rolled his eyes and rested his elbows on the desk. "Never said I didn't like the candy idea." Olivia rolled her eyes before opening a notebook and her personal and well used copy of the great Gatsby. "Do you do better reading to yourself or would you prefer me to read to you?" Shawn thought for a moment before shifting in his chair. "I like your voice. Could you read to me?" Olivia rolled her eyes in a good natured way before changing their spot to a more secluded spot where they wouldn't disturb other students.

Shifting once more to get comfortable, she took a breath and started to read. "In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since. "Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had."

Sorry this one is so short! I want to add it in somewhere but couldn't find a place to put it in the next chapter while telling a cohesive story. I'm currently working on the next part and will be posting it later this month.
