Neo. Why were you here.. Why am I here.
Neo didn't speak, he just stared. The creature next to him turned and whispered something in his ear. But before Neo could finally speak, the hall began to rumble. Next to the throne, grew a hideous multi-eyed beast that emerged from the floor, dripping an inky substance. The end was near for me, I thought. Then, the beast spoke;
"YOUR IN HERE FOR YOUR PUNISHMENT, YOU MORTAL." The beast yelled, the floor shook as he talked.
I had no words, so I just got on my knees and didn't dare make eye contact.
"LOOK AT ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU WOMAN." The beast roared.
I looked up at him.
"YOUR PUNISHMENT IS DEA-" The beast couldn't finish his sentence, for Neo had spoken up.
"I won't let you do this! She doesn't deserve it!" Neo said.
"BOY, YOU MAY BE MY SON'S LOVE INTREST, BUT I WONT HEISITATE TO PUNISH YOU TOO!"
The creature next to Neo began to join in.
"Father, Neo's right. Nurse Kit is just like mother." The creature spoke.
"JOEY! DONT YOU DARE COMPARE THIS HUMAN SOUL TO YOUR MOTHER!"
The creatures name was Joey, this must be Neo's boyfriend.
Joey began walking up to his father while talking to him,
"Kit isn't even her real name! She's not even awake! Isn't this why you began putting unconscious human's souls in new vessels? Just to wake up mother? Why can't you just let her go?"
I had questions, What was he even talking about? Kit wasn't my name? I'm not even awake? This isn't even my own BODY?! I was going insane.
The beast roared once more;
"WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO WITH HER THEN JOEY? TELL ME, IF YOU FEEL SO MUCH SYMPATHY TOWARDS THIS HUMAN."
"I want you to free her soul back to the human realm, let her go back to her family. Let her go." Joey told his father.
...My family? Human realm? I don't remember them.
The beast looked down at me, and leaned down, locking his gaze on me.
He whispered to me, "Be lucky, go live your human life again. But enjoy it while it lasts, because every human soul will be in my grasp soon." The beast snapped his huge uneven fingers, and my vision went black.
