I soon regain vision and awoke in a hospital bed of a local hospital.
I looked around and suddenly felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I was STARVING. Since my career was literally nursing, I knew patients had to press a button by the bed to get a nurses assistance. I quickly found the button by my bed, pressed it, and waited. In about 5-10 minutes a entire group of doctors and nurses barged into the room, looking at me in bewilderment.
One of the doctors spoke up and said, "Your awake? Your... ALIVE?"
"I think so." I said, questioning myself.
The doctor ordered the other doctors/nurses to get food and supplies. Then he asked,
"Do you know what year it is?"
I thought long and hard, until I remembered a faint memory of a calendar.
"2003" I said.
The doctor looked at me, stunned again.
"It's 2006 dear."
2006?! Wait, how long have I been like this? I remember I was a nurse, but I lost all grasps of any other memories of the last 3 years. I slowly remembered my human identity. Very slowly.
"What's my name again? I just need a reminder." I asked the doctor.
"Your Ruby Fernandez. A patient from 3 years ago."
"What happened to me that I stayed here so long?"
"You were put into a coma due to a severe car crash. I am your assigned doctor."
"Well hello Mr...."
"Fredrick. Charlie Fredrick."
"Nice to meet you Charlie!"
"You too. Would you mind answering some questions?
"Not at all."
"Do you recall of anybody close to you? Like a relative or partner?"
"I don't remember, it's all very fuzzy."
"I see. Do you remember your time during those 3 years?"
I tryed to remember, all that came to mind was being a nurse. Some weird bald man in a sweater suddenly came to mind as well.
"I was a nurse, and I remember seeing a bald man in a black sweater." I told Charlie.
"Intresting. Do you remember where you live?"
"Very faintly."
"No worries. You can stay here until you remember your identity more. Ring the help button if you need me. A nurse should be bringing in some lunch for you."
I nodded, and Charlie walked out.
But an hour later a crowd of news reporters walked in.
