Chapter 2: Meeting Friends

[Nicole's POV]

"So, did your mom allow you to go?" Sandra Said.

"Allow me to go where?"

"HeLLO!? Allow you to go to my party, silly!"

"Oh, About that...I guess I forgot to ask her...sorry."

"It's alright, just be there, kay?"

Oh, right, next week is Sandra's birthday. She's turning 19, she's older than me now.

We were walking in the halls and we met some of our classmates, then I turned around when someone poked me from behind.

"Good morning, Nicole!"

It was Shane Cuestar.

"Oh, Shane...morning."

Shane is an athletic dude, and very smart. and I think he's cute.

"Good morning, Cassandra!"

"Good morning." Sandra replied

Shane turned to face me.

"Hey, have you seen Kim?"

"Kim? Uhm, no, I haven't seen him."

Speaking of Kim, there he is, walking towards us with his hands in his pockets.

"Nevermind, there he is."

"Sup peeps?" Kim said.

Kim Zac Ezra, Shane's bestfriend. he's the kind of guy who likes to listen to hip-hop, make remixes, and just DJ at parties, he always brings his laptop and headphones. His mom is very kind, but Kim calls her by name, and I don't know why.

"Morning, Kim." Shane greeted him.

"Morning." Kim replied."

Then he faced Sandra and smiled at her. Sandra just rolled her eyes.

"Hmph! let's go Nikki." Sandra said, annoyed.

"Let's all go in together." Shane said.

When we entered our room, I scanned the place. and to my luck, I saw Nathan, the devil, sitting at the corner back seat, with his arms crossed on his desk, looking through the window.

"Yo Eth!" Kim shouted to Nathan.

Nathan just ignored him. The nerve!
Nathan Krisshandersen, Shane and Kim's bestfriend. he's the son of the famous business tycoons, which makes him a scion. An annoying one.

He is silent, calm, and just cool. But gets on my nerves, he makes childish pranks and annoys me.

"Tch, buzzkill..."

"Morning, Ethan." Shane said.

"Hey, Eth, Nicole's here." Kim said while grinning.

I glared at Kim, why'd the hell did he say that to him?! it's not like he wants to see me or anything...

"So?" Nathan said.

"So, go talk to her, fool!"

He ignored him again.

Heh, like hell he would, he wouldn't even talk to you that much.

"Hi Nathan!" Sandra said out of nowhere.

Nathan faced her, waved at her, and smiled for a second before he looked back through the window.

The heck? are they a couple or something?

Shane and Kim's reactions are the same.

"Hey, Ethan, when were you going to tell us?" Shane playfully said.

"Tell you what?"

"Tell us that Cassandra's your girlfriend?"

"She isn't."

"Eh? then what's with..." Shane was cutted of by Nathan.

"That was just a friendly reply."

"Ya sure? Cause I thought..." cut off again by Nathan.

"We should stop talking about this Cassandra-And-Me thing, cuz someone is getting jealous." Nathan said, pointing to Kim.

Kim just took his headphones from his bag and put it on his head, plugging it on his phone.

"Whatever, Dumb@$$." Kim said, annoyed.

"Hehe, woah. It's getting hot, we should stop before we witness another scene." Shane said, trying to make the two avoid fighting.

The thought just made me smile, til' Cassandra whispered to me

"Ahem, I think you should ask Shane to be your escort."

What the?!

I lightly slapped Sandra in the back, she chuckled.

We all stopped what we were doing when our teacher entered.

"Okay class, get seated and we will start. Today our discussion is about Homer's two famous written books."

Whew, literature. It's a piece of cake to everyone.

"Cole, will you please answer what are the two famous written books?"

Our classmate stood up to answer.

"The Iliad, and The Odyssey."

"Good."

Our teacher said while scanning the room.

"Shane."

Shane stood up.

"In The Iliad, what is it all about?"

"The Iliad is all about the invasion of Troy, the trojans were invaded by the greeks. also in The Iliad, is the hero Achilles and how he was persuaded to help the greeks invade Troy."

"Well done!"

Our teacher said with fascination.

*25 mins. later*

Our teacher was writing some stuff on the board and then the bell rang.

"Ok class, remember to pass that on wednesday, class dismissed!"

I took my stuff and went to Cassandra's seat and saw Nathan, sleeping on his desk.

what happened to him anyway, this isn't like his usual self...I wonder if he slept last night...ARGH! what am I thinking!? I shook my head so I can forget this stupid thought, Come on Nicole! don't think like that, he is your RIVAL! Come on, and go to Cassandra!

"Let's go!" Sandra said.

We went out to the door, I accidentally dropped my papers and went out immediately. I accidentally bumped a girl and fell down, I tried to get up and apologize but when I saw her, I changed my mind.

"Oh, My, God. Who do we have here?" she said.
