I WAS SITTING ON THE FLOOR at Claudia and Finneas's house petting their cute little dog Billie and I came over after Claudia invited me to make cookies because I wanted to learn more vegan baked goods recipes Billie tagged along with me wanting to work on some new music with Finn, I've been here for about an hour and the cookies have been done and are cooling. Billie and I have been kinda weird, not like avoid each other weird just a lot of unspoken stuff

ever since the night of my album party neither of us talked about what happened at the end of the night so it's just lingering in the air and everyone noticed

"What's up with you and bil" Claudia asked, she was leaning against the counter on the phone I guess she could see the wheels turning in my head as I pet the dog, I shrug

"We aren't fighting or anything like that so don't worry we just have to talk about something" I explained and she raised a brow as in asking to elaborate

"I uh told her that I think I'm in love... with her" I mumble and Claudia gasped clapping her hands all cheery

"Aw cute, wait did she say it back?" She paused

"I- I think so unless what I heard was a dream" I stammer not wanting to be wrong "But is it too soon? We only started dating in July practically august" I asked and Claudia shakes her head

"You and Billie have been through a lot it's not like you're total strangers I was surprised you didn't say I love you as soon as you started dating it's clearly written on both of your faces, the way you look at each other is disgustingly cute, you're the whole world to each other now that you've got what you wanted so long ago" I nod at the brunette's statement she's right Billie and I have a complicated history but through the time we were apart I still loved her, I think I always did and only noticed now I'd never been in love before I had a boyfriend who I liked a lot but I never felt the way I feel about Billie with him.

I get up from the ground dusting my clothes off before walking over into the kitchen to wash my hands, I look over at Claudia and smile

"Thanks by the way, that was eating away at me for a while" I chuckled and she grinned

"Happy to help" She replied, I finish washing my hands and dry them off on a towel, and just then Billie and Finneas finally came out for the studio

I look over at Billie with a soft smile which she returned, she broke out into a slow jog to get over to me and wrapped her arms around my waist and rested her head on my chest with a dramatic sigh which made me chuckle slightly.

"Hi bil, what's wrong?" I asked

"Nothing just wanted you and cookies so we decided to take a break" She mumbled and I plant a kiss on the top of her head

"Well my dear you're in luck the cookies are done and you have all my attention" I smile

I grab a cookie from the tray in front of me and hand it to my adorable girlfriend which she gladly accepted

"Baby" Billie speaks up after a while

"Hm?" I hum in response

"Can we talk outside?" She asked with a raised brow and I nod

Whenever anybody asks 'can we talk or can I tell you something' I get nervous for no reason, I always assume the worst I guess

We made our way to the backyard and Billie closed the door behind me

"We should talk about what happened after your release party, well what you said when you were falling asleep, uh did- fuck, did you mean what you said? about thinking you love me?" Billie asked I took note that she was playing around with her rings nervously

I smile and tilt my head

"Did you? your answer is mine" I say and she smiled with a nod

"I am very much in love with you it's almost gross" Billie chuckled and I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders, I place a gentle kiss on her lips before pulling away

"I love you too," I said my hands now cupping her cheeks which are a slight shade of red

"I'm just scared I know I messed up a lot of stuff in the past and I feel like I don't deserve to be loved by you after hurting you like that" Billie mumbled causing me to frown at her words

"Billie we were just kids then, you were scared and I get that now, you deserve all the love so take it all my heart is yours" I whisper and she cracks a small smile, she looked at me with the definition of heart eyes and I couldn't help but melt on the spot

"I wanna go home," Billie says as she tucks her face into the crook of my neck

"Why?" I asked

"I wanna show you how much I love you without words"
