5 Days

Day 1 Monday

Day 1, My best friend and my only friend, Lia, always ride the bus together. We always try our best to sit together. Today was a different day. The bus driver got a call and he wasn't keeping his eyes on the road. "Um excuse me... You might want to-" before I could finish my sentence we crashed and flipped to the side. Somehow Lia and I only passed out while every other kid either died, on the bus or at the hospital. After we got home from the hospital; we only had to stay there for a few hours since we had minor injuries; we hung out in my room and just hung out. We did usual teenage girl things. Both of our parents were talking, so we decided to stay in my room. I heard stomping coming towards my room. We just thought they had gotten into dumb arguments. But, our parents came in and they grabbed our arms and dragged us out. We screamed and kicked, then we grabbed each other's hands and we both got out of their grip. "Mom what's going on" I asked my mom and Lia did the same to her dad. They looked at each other and nodded. "We found out that every living thing will die in just five days. Today was one of them so we have four more days. So we need you home NOW. We need time together" My mom said. I started to cry and I looked over at Lia and she was also bawling. I hugged her and then looked to my mom and said "can they come over? I can't leave Lia; she's my best friend." They looked at eachother again. "Yes" Lia and I hugged to calm each other down. A couple hours later, we are in the living room and all of a sudden we heard a knock at the front door. We all either jumped or yelped. My mom opened it and It was our neighbor. He was crying and I couldn't understand him. "PLEASE H-HELP MY WIFE J-JUST...RANDOMLY... SHE JUST... D-DIED...." That's when he started bawling, but he kept talking. We could barely make out what he was saying. I looked at Lia and she was tearing up a bit and I whispered to her "are you ok?"
"Yeah I just feel sorry for him."
"It'll be ok"
"Yeah I guess" she wiped her tears. I hugged her.
"What do you think is going on?" She asked.
"I don't know"
"Hmm"
"This is kinda scary"
"Yeah it is..."
A couple of minutes later, Lia started laughing. I looked at her confused. "L-lia?" "WH-WHAT IF IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD" She started to laugh and then she cried. Once she said that I got a chill down my back like the answer was a yes. "L-Lia" I started to cry. She started laughing even harder. I started to get scared, yet confused. The day went by and it was now night. We were all tired and scared. "Well goodnight gals," My mom waved goodnight to us and went to bed and Lias dad went into the guest's bedroom room and went to sleep. "Fie" "hm?" "I really hope I can see you again in the morning..." "Me too...Well if not, then I love you." "I love you too. Good night" I layed down on the my bed and Lia layed down on the mattress on the floor. It took me a few hours to wind down after the excitements of the day. I wish we could go back to before.
