Not every teenager is the same
You say you've been there, yet things change
Why not accept I'm getting older?
Maybe because I'll get bolder?
You may think I'm acting grown
I'm only learning how to make it on my own
You say you won't be here forever
Then why can't I have my independence and be clever
You want me to act like a child
When I don't, you think I'm trying to be grown and wild
Having a responsibility is taking care of myself
I just want to be Mothers' best.
