Prince Leone's P.O.V .

I had been waiting for this day for almost ten years since I first learned of the Running of the Mates. At the time was twelve years old, and hardly knew a thing about mates. I had been running for approximately 12 hours, and had about three more packs left to go. I get that most people would be happy because they only had three packs left to scower, but I wasn't. If you'd get to know me, you'd know that I'm a pessimistic person. Always expecting the worst of situations.

This is a good thing when it comes to battles, or in some case dealing with an angry, hormonal female. You plan so that you can counteract the worst of attacks. Whether on your pack or... manhood. Yeah don't ask. My cousin Janice, the "lady" in waiting happens to think it's a soccer ball. Don't even get me started on the annual basketball game at the family reunion. Honestly she's not the blond you'd want to mess with. I think she might be adopted, becausetc she's nothing like her mother Melissa. Not even get sister Janice agrees with her devilish ways.

Anyways, let's get back on track. I met this rogue, and for once I did not feel the need to rip it's head off. He was caught in quite a sticky situation when I came to his rescue.

Flashback

"Just leave me alone! I'm here for the same reason as you both. I just wanna find my mate so that I won't have to be lonely anymore, " a pained voice whimpered. I had just gone through the Blue Moon Pack with no luck, and had five more packs left to go.

"Rogues like you don't deserve companionship!" Yelled another cold and slightly annoying voice. This statement was followed by laughter and shouts of agreement. I peeked out from behind a tree and saw that the boy light brown-haired, green eyed boy was greatly outnumbered. He couldn't have been older than 20 which was one, almost two years behind my 21. Soon to be 22. Although he seemed to scream coward by the way he was just letting them throw their blows and kicks, I knew he wasn't.

He actually screamed Beta, because I could tell he was strong and tactical. He knew if he threw a punch at any of them he could be arrested and sentenced for attacking a domesticated wolf. I didn't blame him for lying there like a sack of potatoes. I could tell he could do a lot of damage to someone he was about as tall as I was. Basically he was a walking ,talking mass of muscle.

A shrill scream had broken me from my evaluation. It had appeared as though they had finally hit him where it hurts. Literally! It was at this point I decided to jump in and save the day. I shifted back into my human skin and came from behind the tree. As soon as I did this they all froze. The powerful aura I gave off was to much for them, and I watched as they fell to their knees. Bowing to me against their will.

"What is going on here?" I demanded loudly. No one replied. "Tell me what is happening this instant, or I swear to the goddess you'll be headless faster than you can say prayer." Still no one said anything."Speak !" I screamed. I was at my wits ends with these bullies.

"Us and this rogue where having a little disagreement,"said the cold voice from earlier. I followed the voice to a blonde boy. He was about my age,and was tall & lanky.

"Is that so? Who exactly started this little confrontation, and why did it become physical?" I questioned and as soon as I said this they became so scared that you could smell it. That and the faint scent of urine. The green-eyed wolf had to stifle a laugh, and earned a glare from the blonde boy.

"The rogue started it blue eyes. He questioned my strength and mocked me for being in a pack of spoon fed wolves. We just wanted to show him he was wrong" the blonde boy answered. It was then I realized he was bold.Disrespectful, but bold non the less. My wolf did not take the disrespect very well.
