3. I'm Busy

Synopsis: You've been busy all week with work and finally have time to catch up on your favorite novel but Arny wants affection and attention.

Y/N POV

Finally, the weekend.

It was my first day off in what felt like weeks and I finally had the time to read the new novel I bought. Arny had also been busy filming for his social media in preparation for con next week so neither of you had spent any significant time together.

I laid down on Arny's bed after shutting my laptop off for the weekend and reached for my book that was placed just on the nightstand next to it. Suddenly, I felt a hand touch the top of mine as I placed my hand on the book.

"Are you about to start reading?" He asked. I looked over to see his eyes dart at me which quickly softened to a pouty face.

"Yes?" I hesitated. I knew we hadn't had much time together but with barely any time to myself recently, I really needed the recharge.

"We haven't spent all week together. You've been in the office working and I've been in here editing and filming all week. Can we please spend some time together?"

I've never heard him be this up front about his feelings, it was a shock to say the least.

"Can I please just read for a couple hours and then we can go to dinner or something?" I asked, looking at the clock, and seeing it was already 5pm that didn't leave us much time.

"A COUPLE HOURS?" He shouted.

"I'm sorry?"

He released a sigh and took his hand off of mine, grabbed the book and placed it in my lap. "We leave at 8." He stated, standing up and sulking out of the room. Apollo watched as he left then looked back at me.

"Don't look at me like that!" I whispered as Apollo walked out of the room to follow him.

You deserve this. You two will go out to dinner later after you finish a couple chapters of the book. He will be fine.

I heard the TV in the living room turn on to what I was guessing had to be anime. I sighed in relief and propped myself back up against the wall on the bed and opened the book to begin reading.

ONE DAY PRIOR

Y/N POV

Ugh...I just want this to be over. 

For the past 5 hours I have been sat in the same spot, looking at the same screen, doing the same thing. Work had been incredibly busy with the upcoming holiday season and all week sitting right next to my computer was the newest book in the Seven of Ravens series and it's all I've been wanting to do but I've just been swamped. I looked over at it and let out a tired sigh then went bak to my computer to type the day away.

"I'm finished!" A rather tall raven haired boy burst through the door, his smile wide as he looked over at me.

"With?" I questioned, my eyes still deadly glaring at my screen.

"I finished filming my Tiktoks for today and all of next week, filmed and edited the video for my YouTube and now all I have left is to stream and I'm all yours!" He excitedly explained, still not leaving the doorway.  

"Well, while I am very happy for you, I'm not even close to being finished for the day. My directors have gotten me seriously behind with everyone taking off next week and I'm just swamped with work and pointless meetings." I rubbed my burning eyes with my hands and rested my elbows on the desk to place my head in my hand and stared down at the floor. "I just need this day to be over."

Suddenly, I felt him rush down beside me and rested himself onto one knee. I looked over to see his beautiful brown eyes once filled with excitement now drowning in worry. "Can I do anything to help you? Maybe massage your shoulders or get a bath going for you once you finish?" He placed a hand on my shoulder and softly gave me a kiss on the cheek, then stopped next to my ear. "Or, maybe we could do something with a bit more pleasure?" his hot breath left my ear as he pulled away, with a now devilish smile and lustful eyes staring back at me.

"Nice try, but no thank you." I laughed, lifting his hand from my shoulder and then dropping it.

"Fine." He pouted, "But after stream you better be all mine." He walked over to the other side of the room where his desk was set up all ready for his stream to start. My PC was across the room from his and while we were together in the same room, we could still spend time alone as we faced away from one another. 

I turned my chair to view the back of his as I watched him set up for stream, my only view of him being from his webcam displaying itself onto his monitor. 

As much as I would love to I just can't tonight.

I didn't want him to be sad or pouty for stream so I kept my thought quiet, wanting him to be in the best mood he could for his followers/Birlapo Army. 

Present Day

"Hey, you ready to go?" a voice whispered, I groggily sat up and moved my open book off the top of my torso and over to the night stand.

Shit! I fell asleep.

Wiping my crusty eyes, I saw Arny peeking through the doorway. "I can't believe I fell asleep! The one night I have time to indulge in my hobbies and I pass out before I can even get started."

Arny laughed at my frustration and walked in to sit next to me on the bed. "Aw love it's okay, do you want to just skip dinner tonight?"

"No I told you we could go and I don't want to disappoint you like I have all week with being so busy." I crossed my arms over my chest and looked down at my lap averting my guilty conscience from him.

Suddenly he hopped in front of me and lifted my chin up with his hand. "Hey hey don't beat yourself up about this, we've both been swamped with work, it wouldn't be fair oof me to take your alone time away from you. We can go out too dinner next week when we're at con. Just enjoy your time now, I can always play games with the husbands or binge watch the rest of my anime tonight. But love, look at me." I obeyed and stared back into those gorgeous brown eyes once again. "I love you, and I am not upset." I smiled at his reassurance as he leaned in for a kiss which I happily locked lips with him. He leaned back and smiled, his hand resting at the side of my face and kissed my forehead before getting on his computer for the night.

I picked up my book and opened it back up to see where I had finished reading before I fell asleep.

I let out a small giggle and Arny looked back confused.

"What?" He asked, lifting up his headphones from his floofy hair to hear.

"Nothing, I love you."

"I love you too." 

He turned back around and starting playing with husbands and I finally got back to my book, hoping this time to not fall asleep right away.
