jimin never thought he'd ever be going to a business function but yet here he is now sitting in the passenger seat next to the kim taehyung on their way to one.

the car was overflowing with silence. the now blonde sat in the car nervously looking out the window at the bright passing city lights contemplating if he should speak to end the awkward tension but that idea was quickly shot away when the male driving next to him opened his mouth.

"you're worrying about this too much." he said in a deep voice with his eyes strictly on the road.

jimin shot him a confused look even though he was attempting to hide the fact that he was practically about to shit his pants. the reaction on shorter boy's face caused the driver let out a low chuckle as he stopped at a beaming red light; "i can see right through you, you're scared as hell."

the older just hummed in response continuing to stare into the dark abyss that was the night. he prayed that'd if he stared long he'd space out and forget his emotions but there was a dark crevasse in the back of his mind that had no sign of leaving and instead spread even more, enveloping more of his body with time as it's only enemy.

wrong.

taehyung's skinny fingers wrapped around his thigh sending some sort of antidote to stop the flooding of emotions that creeped under his skin. "just stay next to me, i'll do all the talking." stupid enough, in that moment the younger whispered words and soft touches were the small boy's only remedy.

the traffic light later changed colors causing the pair to distance one another for the time being however the shorter couldn't help but steal a few glances at the business man beside him. no sane person could deny that taehyung looked hot in his sleek black car with one arm lazily on the steering wheel and the other working the stick shift.

after a few silent minutes of driving. they pulled into the parking lot of the large estate that the function was being held at. taehyung got out of the vehicle and walked over to jimin's side opening the door for him and holding out his arm like the gentleman he was always taught as a young man to be. the smaller the graciously excepted and held onto his hand.

walking up to the grand entrance, without thinking, jimin wouldn't let go of the other male's hand. the younger didn't know if it was out of nervousness or on purpose but whatever it was he didn't mind it one bit. instead he imagined the little gesture being quite cute.

he honestly found the older to be quite adorable despite the his occasional bitchy attitude. the shorter rarely ever displayed these actions but when he did they were usually done without thinking and forever needed to be cherished by all witnesses.

the older could feel a fury butterflies begin the rapidly enter his stomach as the pair neared the entrance of the elaborate mansion. the more steps they took the more the blonde considered running away but that would just be stupid because had no clue where the hell he was.

his grey eyes scanned all around the ballroom seeing all the intimidating people dressed in expensive worth more than his whole existence all throughout the vast building.

the dark haired male noticed his uneasiness squeezed his hand; "you're gonna be fine"

jimin sent him a weak smile with a small "i know" but instead of his voice radiating with sas it was laced with nervousness.

the younger raised his eyebrow and smirked at the other's lack in confidence which he has never witnessed once before. it truly was a sight to see for him.

playfully hitting the businessman, "don't look at me like that you piece of shit." the blonde stated quietly not wanting to draw any unwanted attention in the elaborate ballroom.
