Three days. It had been three goddamned days since he had woken up in this room, three days of being imprisoned. And he couldn't even remember how he ended up in here.

Tony looked around, even though there was really nothing to see. He was sitting on the floor in some sort of rubber room. There was no window, and the padded door was inserted so well into the wall that he had only figured out where it was when they had brought him some food and water. Twice a day two guards, a man and a woman, came in and escorted him to the bathroom, once a day they brought him some food. That was it.

The last thing he remembered before he had woken up here was that he had been testing out some new features of his suit. He had been out on the ocean doing his manoeuvres when, all of a sudden, the power went out, or so it seemed. Jarvis was dead and Tony fell out of the sky. During the first few seconds of free fall, the now lifeless suit had made him feel utterly helpless. He had already braced himself for the inevitable crash into the deadly cold sea, but it never happened. Maybe he had passed out himself or whoever kidnapped him was responsible for it.

Tony didn't know why they were keeping him in this room either, the two guards who came in didn't say anything. He was only glad that they kept giving enough food and water to survive. So they wanted him alive for whatever reason they had.

Suddenly, there was a sound coming from behind the door.

Was it evening already?

He felt like he was slowly losing his sense of time. Usually, they took him to the bathroom in the morning, brought him his food at lunchtime and took him to the bathroom in the evening again, but it felt like his lunch had been two hours ago, at most.

The door opened, and the two same guards shoved a tall figure into the cell that was wearing the same shackles and chains around his wrists and ankles as Tony did. The man was clad in black combat gear with a hood that was pulled deep down into his face, so Tony didn't recognize him.

"This is absurd! You're making a terrible mistake. Know this: You cross me, there are deadly consequences!"

Goosebumps formed on Tony's whole body. Even though he hadn't seen the face yet, the man's voice was hauntingly familiar.

But how?

Of course, the guards didn't say anything. The man just huffed before they closed the door and locked it.

The figure then looked down at him. "Of course, it is one of the members of my brother's superhero club. Why am I not surprised?"

All of a sudden, he knew why the voice seemed so familiar. The black hair that was falling down from under his hood in shiny strands were only further proof. "If it isn't Reindeer Games," he said. "Now, I would offer you another drink, but I just finished the last of my water ration for the day."

Loki scoffed and made a swift movement with his head so the hood fell. "How amusing," he said. "I would rather like to know why I am stuck in a padded cell with you of all people. Or well, keep it to yourself, I'll get us out of here quick and easy." He moved his hands upwards in a gesture that would usually conjure his magic, but nothing happened.

Tony chuckled darkly. "Whoever is behind this managed to get me while I was in my suit. Do you think they won't be able to manage a sorcerer? And just for your information, you'll see that dumb and dumber are not very talkative."

Loki looked at his hands with an expression Tony couldn't quite interpret, then his blue eyes wandered away from them and towards Tony's face, who grinned at his former opponent.

"Two questions. One: I thought your brother brought you to Asgard for your big boss, padre numero uno to punish you for New York? And two..."

Tony flipped one outstretched leg over the other, leaning back into the soft wall behind him, "did you just say 'get US out of here'?"
