Alex Wells cracks his knuckles as he had a smug smile on his face. He and his friends Javier Valencia and Elijah Thompson were late as usual to the party. Fashionably late, of course. It was some rich girl’s party that they didn’t even know but they somehow found an invite to get them in. And it wasn’t like they couldn’t get in anyway. Alex had money, Javier had his looks and Elijah had his persuasive tone. As the trio got closer to the front of the line, they began to see the true reason they were there. The women. This rich girl must’ve had her connections because it looked like she had the whole world in the club. Noticing this, Alex’s smile turned into a true smirk. Oh, how he loved his foreign women. Tonight was the night. He was taking some girl home if it was the last thing he did. He was sure by the look on Javier and Elijah’s faces that they had the same thought.
“Mates, tonight, we are going to find someone of the opposite sex. Said women will come home with us. Said women will be extremely attractive,” Alex smiles, putting his hands in his pockets.
“I wouldn’t dare have it any other way,” Elijah says, scanning the room for any lucky ladies.
Javier was doing the same and then he spotted someone. She was beautiful. Long hair, sparkling blue eyes. He bit down on his lip before smiling. “I’ll be back, mi amigos,” He says in a joking tone as picked up the pace to meet up with the girl.
“He really thinks he has chance, doesn’t he?” Elijah says as he sees the girl in question.
“Of course he does. Didn’t you see the signs? The lip bite, that heart melting smile, the swagger in his walk? He’s putting his all into this one. Or at least 85%,” Alex responds, waiting to see what was going to happen next.
“Well, it clearly wasn’t enough for Victoria.” Elijah comments as he see their approach them with a frown on his face.
“She did not like my accent. I don’t have an accent,” Javier pouts, crossing his arms like a child.
“Right. What really happened?” Alex asks, not believing Javier’s bullshit.
“I swear! She did not like my accent. She says to me, ‘I do not understand you when you speak Mexican.’ I am not Mexican! I am Colombian. And is Mexican a language in America? I have been here for awhile now but apparently there is much to still be learned,” Javier sighs, running his fingers through his hair.
“She’s not worth it anyway, lad. There’s other fish in the sea that would love your accent.” Elijah reassures his friend.
“Yeah, mate. As far as I know, the American girls love the foreign accent,” Alex reminds him. They were in New York after all.
“I guess you are right. There will be another girl who will love my accent,” Javier nods, sure of himself now.
The friends walk over to the bar, deciding that a few drinks will prepare them for their night of debauchery. Alex orders a dirty martini, his go-to drink. Elijah chooses a couple of shots of tequila and Javier, not being one to drink a lot, simply chose a beer. As they drank, they scanned the room for the possible women to leave with. As Elijah was throwing back his last shot, he came across this stunning redhead on the other side of the bar.
“I’ll be right back Lads. I think I’ve found my lady for the night.” Elijah comments as he set his shot glass down and made his way over to the woman.
“She has a Mary-Jane Watson vibe to her,” Alex notes to Javier as he takes a sip from his martini, watching Elijah’s efforts to bed the redhead.
“Red haired women aren’t my ‘cup of tea’ as Elijah likes to say. They don’t look right,” Javier says, getting a strange look and a smile from Alex. “Well they do not.”
