"Aniyah! Aniyah, wake up!" I hear a voice say.

I slowly open my eyes to see what's going on. Jessica is standing over me, telling me to wake up.

"What!?" I say, yawning and rubbing my eyes.

"We're going to be late. We have a class in like twenty minutes." She says.

I sneeze, and snot forms in my nose.

"Are you sick!?" Jessica says, looking at me concerned.

"I think so! I have the worst headache, and I'm feeling dizzy." I tell her before sneezing again.

Jessica walks to my dresser and hands me my wipes.

"You're not looking too good." She says.

"I feel like shit!" I say before sneezing then blowing my nose into the napkin.

"What am I going to do now? We have a presentation later today for lit, and I can't do without it." Jessica says, folding her arms with a worried look on her face.

"Oh damn! We've been planning that for two weeks."  I reply.

"You can't come to classes today. I'll ask André for some more time. He'll understand."

"No, no. I don't want to wait any longer. I want to get this thing over with. Let's just do it."  I tell her.

"But you're too sick to attend classes," Jessica says, placing her palm on my neck.

"I'll be fine. I'll get it done, then come back here and rest."

"Are you sure?" Jessica asks.

  "I'm sure."

"If I notice anything, you're coming right back here. Deal?"

"Deal!"

While in the shower, I almost fall over three times. My vision is also blurry, and I keep zoning in and out.

"Hey! I have some cold medicine. Here take this." Jessica says, handing me a bottle.

  "Did you eat breakfast?"

  "Don't feel like it."

"You should eat something, even if it's a cookie. You can't take medicine on an upset stomach."

"Fine," I say, walking over to the cupboard.

I make myself a peanut butter sandwich and take two bites into it before putting it in the fridge. I then drink some water before taking  the  medicine.

Jessica and I attend our classes throughout the day as everything is fine. I start feeling a little better at lunch, but as soon as I enter professor André's class, the same dizzy feeling comes back. I manage to mask it until or presentation is over and the course ends. I get up to leave, but my head is aching so badly that I can hardly focus.

"Can you walk?" I hear Jessica say right before I pass out.

I slowly open my eyes and whimper at how bright it is. I notice that I'm in a room. I manage to open my eyes and let the light in fully. I look around and realize I'm in the sickbay. The nurse I'd only seen once before now is seated in her chair typing away on her computer.

I slowly sit up, trying to process how I ended up here. The nurse notices and walks over to me.

"Hello, Aniyah. How are you feeling?" She asks.

  "Horrible!" I groan.

"Mhm. You have a very high fever, and you kept shivering in your sleep." She says, opening a cupboard in the room. She takes a pill from it and puts it on her desk.
