Late November, Friday the 5th.
It was pouring down rain when I arrived into the literature club. Monika was already there, setting things up.
I quietly walk over to my seat, sitting my stuff down. Monika perks her head up at the sound of my footsteps.
"Oh, hi Natsuki! Good afternoon." Says Monika.
"Oh, uh hey Monika. Good afternoon to you to." I say in response.
I take my seat, and right as I do Sayori swings open the clubroom doors in full energy and happily skips in.
"Oh, haha I see your a good mood, aren't you Sayori?" Monika says, smiling.
"Hi Monika! And yes, I am in a good mood!! I got to make brownies in cooking class today!! I've brought some for you guys to try!!" Says Sayori.
I perk my head up, obviously they couldn't be as good as my baking.
"Oh my, how nice of you Sayori!" Monika says replying to Sayori.
"Here! Take one! You to, Natsuki!" Sayori says cheerfully handing me and Monika a brownie.
I dig my teeth into them, they were moist and good. But obviously, I couldn't admit that."Hmph they're.. okay I guess.. there not AS good as my baking."
"I think there quite good Sayori! Good job!" Says Monika.
Right as Monika says that, Yuri walks into the room. She looks down at her feet and walks quietly over to her desk, setting her stuff down.
"Oh, Yuri! Your just in time!! I have this for you!!" Says Sayori happily handing Yuri one of her brownies.
"O-oh.. thank you Sayori. That's very thoughtful of you." Yuri says, replying to Sayori.
Yuri takes a bite of the brownie and a shocked expression appears on her face.
"O-oh wow, these are very good Sayori. Did you make them yourself?" Says Yuri.
"Yes I did!! I'm glad everyone likes them!!" Says Sayori.
"Alright everyone, it's time to start the club meeting. Thank you Sayori for the brownies, they were very good!" Monika said.
Everyone starts taking there poem out of there bag, I follow along. I glance at Yuri and notices she has this worried expression on her face, I wonder what happened..
"Alright everyone, time to share poems! Pick a partner and quickly share your poem with them." Monika says looking around the room.
I get up from my desk, and walk towards Yuri.
"Hey, Yuri. I'm here to share poems."
"O-oh.. h-hi Natsuki.. Um.. you can share first.."
"Alright, well here."I hand Yuri my poem.
Yuri reads threw my poem and an almost shocked expression appears on her face.
"Oh w-wow.. that's a nice poem.. I'm kinda impressed that you of all people wrote this.."
"Is that supposed to be an insult, Yuri?"
"W-wah- n-no! I'm sorry if that sounded like an insult, I didn't mean it.." Yuri says burying her face.
"It's fine I guess.."
"I-is this poem directed towards anyone special? It sounds like a love poem."
It was directed towards someone, being honest. But I'm not going to admit it in front of Yuri..
"No, it wasn't. I just wanted to write a beachy poem." I say, Yuri quietly giggles to herself.
"Well, where's your poem at?" I say, leaning on Yuri's desk.
"Oh, m-mine? Uhm.. well.. the truth is.. I kinda forgot to write one last night.." Yuri says, clearly embarrassed.
"Oh. It's fine than." I say. Out of all people, Yuri doesn't strike me as the person to forget stuff like that.
By the time i finish sharing my poem to Sayori and Monika, it's time to go home. I talk with Sayori and hear some rustling behind me, coming from my desk.
But when I turn back I see nothing, expect Yuri packing up her things."That's weird.." I say quietly to myself walking over to my desk.
I look down onto my bag and see it's opened and that my mangas missing out of it.
"Who stole my manga?!" I say shouting out.
Everyone turns to look at me."I'm sure no one stole it, Natsuki. Maybe you just dropped or left it somewhere?" Monika says.
I grab all my stuff frustrated and walk out of the room, making my way down to the first floor.
I open the school doors and see rain heavily pouring down.
"Ah shit.. I forgot to bring my umbrella.. ugh."
I say quietly to myself. My house isn't far from the school, but if I walked threw the rain I'd definitely be soaked by the time I get home."Ugh.."
As soon as I'm about to leave, I hear someone behind me.
"H-hey. Natsuki.. If you we're walk threw the rain without an umbrella you'd get soaked and probably catch a cold.. so uh.. I was wondering if you'd wanna share my umbrella.." Yuri says standing behind me.
"O-oh.. thanks Yuri." I say as Yuri walks up to me and opens her umbrella.
Me and Yuri are nextdoor neighbors, so sometimes we walk together. On the days we walk home together gives me butterflies.. and I don't know why. I-i definitely don't like her or anything..
Me and Yuri make our way threw the rain making small talk from time to time, then we reach our houses.
"Thanks for walking me home Yuri, I appreciate it.." I say, finding myself blushing.
"Y-yeah.. it's no bother.."
I smile at Yuri and take my house key out and unlock my house door.
