It's as simple as I Love You.

Chapter #23-Part 1

"Hey Teddy." I smiled at the jumping boy.

"Draco! Will you read to me?"

I nodded and he ran to grab a book. Andromeda sat on the couch next to me, "How have you been Draco?"

I smiled at her, "I've been good." Over the months we had become very close. She was always asking about my life and we were always talking about this and that.

"Is there anyone special in your life?" She asked me casually.

My face felt hot and I could feel the blush across my face.

She smiled brightly at me, "Oh do tell me!"

I smiled back, "Well, he's very kind, a git but kind. We've known each other since back at Hogwarts but were never friends. Though recently we have gotten to know each other better and he asked me out."

Andromeda smiled at me, "You really like him don't you?"

I looked down at my lap and smiled, "Yeah I do. But I don't think it will work out between us." I shrugged slightly.

Andromeda was about to ask why when Teddy came back down the stairs.

"Draco! I've got the book!" Teddy shouted.

I nodded and smiled at him, "I can see that."

I grabbed the book from him and he crawled into my lap.

Andromeda smiled at us before standing up to make some lunch.

About half way through the book I started to get tired. Teddy was drifting off in my lap but wasn't yet asleep so I kept reading.

The next thing I know I'm asleep too.

"Ah I picked a boring book now Draco is asleep." I heard Teddy whine.

"No he's just been tired recently Teddy. He hasn't been feeling all that good." Harry said.

I felt a light shake of my arm and woke up slowly. Harry was sitting on the floor next to me, "Hey. How are you feeling?"

I smiled at him, "I'm good."

He frowned slightly, "How's your headache?"

I glared lightly at him because I just told him I was good, "It's the same as always Harry. I'm fine."

He smiled slightly, "It's about dinner time."

I just nodded.

"Do you want to eat here, then we can go back to your place for game night?"

I thought for a second but then nodded again. The sickness was all starting to catch up to me. And my headache was pounding against my skull.

I must have made a face because Harry places a hand onto my forehead, "I'll go get you a headache potion."

"Grab three." I said.

He smiled at me and went to go grab them.

Teddy came closer to me. He had tears in his eyes and his hair was changing to a light blond.

I crinkled my nose at it and pointed to his hair, "I still like it blue better."

Teddy laughed lightly, "Are you sick Draco?"

I gave him a light smile, "Yes."

A few tears fell from his eyes, "You'll be okay though right? You'll get better."

I didn't answer for a long time and tried to whip away some of his tears, "I-I don't know."

Teddy jumped and pulled his arms around me, "I don't want you to leave me Draco! I want you to stay with me. I want you to get better."

I swallowed down my tears and rubbed Teddy's back gently, "I know."

"It's not fair Draco. You haven't even got to celebrate my birthday!"

I laughed slightly, "I know but I made a bad decision and people got hurt because of that. One day you'll understand that this was fair because I did something bad and for that I shouldn't have been forgiven."

Teddy sobbed into my shirt and I just rubbed his back. Once his tears started to settle he backed up a little.

I smiled at him, "And don't worry I already bought you a birthday gift."

Teddy smiled tearily at me.

Harry came back then too and handed me the potions. He stood behind me. Andromeda came into the room soon after, "Dinner's ready."

Teddy ran to the table while Harry walked around the couch to help me up.

He smiled brightly at me as we walked into the dinning room.

"Why are you so smiley?" I asked him, smiling slightly.

"No reason." He said but didn't try to cover his smile.

I shook my head slightly, "There obviously is a reason. You never smile this much."

He shrugged, "I'm just happy. Happy that I'm here with you, happy that I got to see how cute you are with Teddy." He smiled more and laughed slightly.

I blushed slightly, "Yeah yeah."

Harry grabbed my hand and interlocked our fingers. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me.

Before we entered the dining room I pulled my hand away from his and sat down.

Harry gave me a hurt and confused look but when I made eye contact I just looked away.

He sighed and sat down.

We all ate. I forced down most of it to not be rude and also to make Harry and Pansy happy.

Once dinner was almost done Andromeda started a conversation with Harry and Teddy was telling me about this thing his friend told him.

We stopped our conversation though when we heard Andromeda ask Harry if he had anyone special in his life.

Teddy turned over quickly to listen and I tried to pretend I was busy with something.

Harry, though, smiled at her, "Yeah I do."

She smiled warmly back, "Oh that's amazing Harry! Tell me about them."

I grabbed my glass of water and Harry looked at me for a quick second. He had a smirk on his face.

"Well Andromeda, he is the biggest pain in the arse you will ever meet." He turned quickly to Teddy, "Don't ever repeat that." Teddy nodded and Harry looked back at Andromeda, "But he cares for people in his own way. He is such a mom friend and a romantic. And he is so amazing, Andromeda."

I felt my face go red so I distracted myself with Teddy asking him what fun things he had been up to. I soon caught eyes with Harry who smiled brightly at me causing my face to go red again.

Soon it was time for Harry and myself to leave. Teddy gave us both hugs and had tears in his eyes as we started to leave.

Andromeda gave Harry a hug and then hugged me, "I think your relationship will work out. He seems to like you a lot."

My face turned bright red and we left.

Harry apparated us a little ways away from the house and grabbed my hand again.

I smiled at him and he smiled back.
