(The New Kid) Chapter 1- Part 1

"Another case closed Mr Howell I swear you have closed more cases than anyone else at your age level in the department" The director said smiling happily "You truly are one of England's finest"

"Thankyou Sir" I said formally

This should be the last case and I'll finally be able to relax for the next three months

I really think the last mission took it out of me I was literally one day away from marrying that muppet even though I was using an alias I still probably would feel incredibly horrible leaving my "fake" wife not that leaving her at the isle was any better but still... My job kinda sucks at times

"You are very welcome Mr Howell oh I almost forgot there is someone in my office that wants to meet you" The director said pointing in the direction of his office

Shit please tell me it's not another job.

"Yes of course sir" I said keeping the bitterness out of my tone

It's not that I don't like my job, I love my job it's just that I never get a break it's always mission after mission no in between

The last mission I spent four months away and keeping up the persona Allan Gregg for so long was a mission in itself.

I got into the office and was greeted by Eliza Hub head of MI7

Wow I have read about her so much and it is so unreal seeing her in the flesh.

I did my end of yearly examination on her when I first joined this program four years ago

"Hello Agent Howell I've heard allot of great things about you" Eliza said holding out her hand

"And I you" I said shaking her hand smiling

It's like meeting a celebrity wow! And she's heard of me!

"It's such an honor to make your acquaintance Madam Hub" I said formally

"Oh such a gentleman" Eliza said grinning

She sat back down and gestured to the seat next to her

I sat graciously and waited for then to tell me what this was about

"Now Agent Howell I understand you have just come back from a mission" Eliza said

Oh no not another mission!

"Yes that is correct" I said smiling

Keep up the charming persona Dan

"I understand that you are probably wanting a break after coming back from such a long mission but i was sent here by the head of the agency to bring in the most talented young agent for the upcoming mission"

Me?

"That's you Agent Howell you see we have just been given some information on the head of England's black market and we need someone young to infiltrate there group and take them down from the inside I believe that person is you"

A chance to bring down the black market my name will go down in the history books!

"Will you accept this mission Mr Howell?" The director asked

Fuck yes!

"I accept"
