Chapter 18- Fortification

News of the village being infected had spread like a wildfire in the kingdom. All of the people were looking at Riddhima and Sejal with glares and disgust. Some even openly whispering to kill them.

Even the wolves were glaring at them, but they were respectfully silent because of their Alpha. Riddhima was looking at her hand, the infection was spreading in slow rate, she quickly hid her hand when she felt Sejal coming and standing next to her in the balcony

Se- Things are getting dicey..

R- Yes..the boundary of the village will not be up for long..they will definitely come after me. And because of that..the people of this kingdom may suffer.

Se- Maybe if you went away from here?

R- No..the twins will feel it..and it won't help anyone..we have to find a permanent solution..

Se- Do you think you can stop if you are able to access your full power?

R- I don't know..I am afraid of losing myself to the power.

Se- You won't ..you have the twins as your anchor na..they won't let you lose yourself.

The hall was a complete pandemonium everyone trying to talk over other, Ajay was starting to get a headache, he shouted loudly

Aj- ENOUGH!!!, everyone was quite and looked down..

Aj- I know everyone is scared, but we are trying to do everything to keep the villagers out.

M1- Why not kill them all..

Vi- NO..they are innocent people controlled by magic.

W1- Then atleast throw both the girls out..it is because of them everything is happening. 

Anu- ENOUGH..Riddhima saved your Alpha..so treat her with respect. I don't want anyone to badmouth them.

Rudra was smirking his plan was working perfectly, now on to the second stage and for that he had the perfect scapegoat. He cornered Sejal after the meeting

Se- What do you want now?

Ru- I have a solution. The Power is not a bad entity. It just needs a conduit. You can be one, people will worship you as a savior.

Se- What should I do?

Ru- Go the caves..allow the Power to make you a conduit. This your time to shine.

Se- Let me think about it.

Sejal went away thinking and Rudra was enjoying himself. He just made a plan of getting rid of two birds with one stone.

Sejal is so weak she won't be able to handle being Power's conduit. And poor Riddhima will definitely try to help her and in the process get herself killed.

Sejal was going to her room, when she heard giggles coming from Riddhima's room, she looked through the half open door, Riddhima was sitting in Vansh's lap kissing him and Vihaan was biting her neck.

Se- (thinks) At this time too she is busy with this nonsense..Rudra was right I will have to look a way to help these people.

Riddhima was lying in between the twins. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't sleep she was feeling agitated and afraid. The nightmares were coming back tenfold.

Sometimes it was the twins and sometimes it was Sejal. But she knew one thing she will not let anyone get hurt. No matter what cost she has to pay.
