Chapter 20- The ultimate sacrifice

I first thought to write two more chapters. But I am overall not satisfied with the how much this book was liked by readers. So, this is the last chapter of the book.

If I get the courage to write to a second book, I will definitely try it. But thank you to all for giving it so much love.

The Power knew that the time has come when it will be able to control everything, with all the power combined, it broke through the caves, and it also broke the barrier Riddhima had set in the village. The villagers were getting ready to attack.

Sejal was kept under house arrest, Riddhima was looking after her. She could feel the change in the air. The poison inside her trying to lure her towards the Power and she was doing everything she can to resist.

She also knew that this is probably the last day with twins, after that she didn't know what would happen, she was startled when she heard Aryan behind her

Ar- Riddhima?

R- Sorry..

Ar- No, I am sorry..yeh sab mere Dad ke wajah se ho raha hain..even now he is rallying against us.

R- No. It is not your fault. The Power can corrupt anyone. And also don't mind what Sejal said, she was angry on me and she took it out on you.

Ar- Hmm. But what do we do..

R- I have a plan, but before that can stay here looking after Sejal. I need to spend some time with the twins.

Ar- Sure..I will.

Riddhima had organized a small picnic, for the twins and asked them to meet at the waterfalls, they had came in their wolf form since they were too wound up from the meetings. Things were not good.

They didn't see her anywhere and they tried to reach out through their connection,

Vi- (thinks) Riddhima..kahan ho..

R- 😋😋 come find me..

V- (thinks)Are you in your wolf form? It is so different looking through your mind.

They both saw a white wolf running away in a zigzag manner, and ran after it. They could hear her tinkling laugh when they couldn't catch her.

Both of them hid and she turned back and they ambushed her, and they all rolled in the mud. Tongue lolling they nudged each other and ran back to the waterfall.

They changed into their human forms and put the dress on, the twins smiled at her playfulness..

Vi- Kya baat hain..aaj itna playful kyun behave kar rahi ho?

V- What are you planning to do?

Vi- Don't make any plans without telling us.

R- No baba I just wanted to spend some time with you guys..before all hell breaks loose.

Vi- Did Samvi brew a healing potion?

R- It will take time..but I will be fine.

V- And what about Sejal..

Vi- Do we have to talk about her..😡😡

R- Oh ho..don't be angry.

Riddhima hugged both of them, and they had some food and slept in the grass. Riddhima felt sad she knew she had lied but this was something she had to do to protect them.

They went back to palace and they were in time, to listen to the deafening sound of the bugles. Riddhima was numb, her time was finally over, slowly she closed the bond between the twins.

They eyed her confused but they were called by their father so they had left. Riddhima went to her room and brought out the necklace,

Ar- What are you planning to do Riddhima..?

R- What Sejal wanted to do..but not to gain power but to stop her.

Ar - But that means sacrificing yourself please don't do that.

R- It is all because of me..my bloodline..I can't let the Power destroy me.

Ar- And this necklace..

R- It is something that you and Sejal will have to hold on to. After this is over only you both will remember me. And under no circumstances will you tell anyone about me.

R- Promise me..🙏🙏

Ar- Are you sure about this?? Is there no other way?

R- No.

They hugged each other, and Riddhima went away towards the kingdom's main entrance. She could see the village army coming.

On the other hand, the wolves were discussing how to stop this, when the guard came and informed that Riddhima was standing alone infront of the army.

Vi- This girl never listens..

V- We have to stop her.

Riddhima closed her eyes, and the necklace glowed slowly she erased all the memories of her from the twins and other people's mind. The memories were now stored in the necklace which transported itself back to Aryan's hand.

She could see the Power feeding off the fears of the villagers, she tapped deep into her magic and imagined her and the Power in a cage in the caves again.

P- You😡😡😡😡😡

R-(glowing red eyes)This is over...

P- Noooooooo

Both of them were trapped again in a cage inside the caves, where the Power tried to break free..until Sejal broke the necklace..

Somewhere far off

Riddhima came out of the cave, her body shimmering with new power and a thirst to become more powerful and with a sinister smile on her face she went towards the Wolf kingdom...
