At the time, Ivan and Shikamaru were only Jounin. To assist Gudako, Ivan assembled his servants, who included Kiyohime, Raikou, Hassan of Serenity, Elizabeth, and Eresh. They were given the duty, and Mash even volunteered to assist. They nod and go off.
