No one's pov-
It was now noon as Noya began his walk towards (Y/N)'s house. They had made plans to go to a festival in town together,
Noya was very excited for this one since he had been wanting to take (Y/N) there ever since he heard about it.
As he entered the stairway to her apartment he stopped as his phone buzzed. ' It's a message from Tanaka..'
He unlocked his phone and read it, a slight blush crept onto his face. The message read 'Have a nice time with your girlfriend!👍' .
"Tch..",
He huffed and shoved his phone back into his pocket. He walked up the rest of the stairs and got off at your floor. He rang the doorbell and heard the soft yet rushed sound of footsteps through the door.
"What's up Yuu! Come in!"
(y/n) said as she hugged him. He hugged back and took off his shoes before stepping inside.
(Y/N) pov-
I scurried off into my room to grab my shoes as I screamed internally at Yuu's arrival. 'Holy shit! I didn't think that it was time already!'.
I awkwardly entered the living room where Nishinoya was scrolling through this phone.
"Sorry for taking so long! I'm ready to leave when you are!"
He looked up and turned his phone off as he laughed.
"Don't worry (N/N)! We'll be pretty early if we head out now anyways!"
I nodded and followed him out the door makings sure to lock it behind me.
We started the 10 minute walk to the park where the festival would be held. As we walked along a sidewalk near the main road i noticed the long line of traffic heading towards our destination.
I began to zone out as I enjoyed the peaceful silence between Noya and I. But I was quickly pulled out of my thoughts as I felt Nishinoya's hand brush against mine.
I felt my face heat up at the sudden interaction and look towards the ground to try and hide my face. I looked up at Noya to see him with a light blush over his face which caused me to giggle slightly. His blush only increased as he looked away in embarrassment.
Time skip
We got to the park and I immediately pulled him towards the games and rides that were scattered near the pond. The smell of popcorn and desserts filled my senses along with the sound of chatter and laughter of children.
"Why don't we play a game (N/N)?"
I turned around to see him with a playful smirk on his face.
"What kind of game?".
His smile only grew as he pointed toward the stands.
"The person who wins the most prizes at different stands has to do whatever the other says. "
I crossed my arms and stepped closer to him.
"And the person who loses?"
He poked my ribcage causing me to flinch and laughed at my reaction. I rolled my eyes and motioned for him to finish.
"The person who loses has to buy the other dinner, or whatever food they want by the end of the festival."
I stuck out my hand in agreement. He shook it and patted my shoulder and winked.
"May the best win."
My heart leapt as he then walked away looking for stands. I jumped and shook my head. ' I NEEED to win this
competition!'.
Nishinoya's Pov-
I looked over and saw (Y/N) heading towards the basketball hoop shoot game. 'Oh, that's smart'. I slowly walked past the booth as she made 6 shots in a row and won a stuffed bunny, she smiled and noticed my presence. She smirked and stuck her tongue out and skipped away to find another game.
After another minute of looking around I found a shooting game and instantly knew that it'd be an easy win. I shot down the first 3 targets with ease the man behind the stand flicked a switch that caused the targets to move.
"Sorry kid, I can't let this be an easy win for ya."
I huffed and began to hit down the rest of the targets. In the end I ended up winning a panda plush that folds into a bean bag. 'I wonder if (N/N) would like this' .
Time skip 20 mins
My phone's alarm vibrated inside my pocket notifying me that it was now 6:40pm, which signaled the end of the competition, I made my way to the park benches by the lake to meet (Y/N) slightly staggering and fiddling with the large amount of prizes I earned. I ended up meeting up with her half way and smirked,
"I told you I would beat you!"
She rolled her eyes and gently kicked my leg.
"just wait until we count them all dumbass."
I laughed and continued our walk to the benches. We passed another couple, it was a blonde girl with her boyfriend. Her eyes widened as she saw the amount of prizes (Y/N) and I were carrying and nudged her boyfriends arm.
"Look at how many prizes her boyfriend got her! And he's half your size! C'mon babe you can do that too right!?"
He sighed and turned around and made eye contact with me and slightly narrowed his eyes at me, I smiled awkwardly and sped up to catch up to (N/N). (Y/N) slowed down and started to laugh,
"Boyfriend huh?....isn't that something.."
I blushed and laughed as well, though a part of me felt like it would be right if things were like that....maybe it's because she's my best friend?
We got to the tables and placed the prizes down on opposite sides and counted them. I ended with 12 prizes total and (Y/N) had 16.. I sighed and collapsed on the bench in defeat.
"Alright..you win, what do you want?"
She smiled and sat down next to me,
"How about we go back to my place and watch a movie."
I was happy that I'd get to spend more time with her and that the punishment was nothing bad and quickly agreed. As we got up to leave the festival I froze.
"What about the prizes..?"
She turned around and rubbed the back of her neck.
"Well shit..."
