IV. did the love affair maim you too?
Today was the day of the tournament entry and the Great Hall had been rearranged for the students to drop their names into the cup. Devore saw Bennet sitting on the bench alone. "Good morning." She said to him and sat beside him."Dev, guess what?" He immediately asked with a big smile.
She gasped to match his excitement. "What? Ehat?"
"Cedric Diggory's putting his name in the cup!"
Cedric Diggory. Hufflepuff's golden boy. Insanely hot. She gasped again. "That's cool! I didn't know you talked to him?"
"Yeah, he's head boy for Hufflepuff. He's been really nice to me so far."
"Well, that's good. He might just be on my good side." She said and brushed the hair out of his eyes. "How're your classes so far?" She listened to him go on about his classes when Hermione came and sat on the row below her, a book in her hand like always. She smirked. "Always reading, Granger. Do you ever do anything else?"
Hermione looked over her shoulder and glared at her. "Yes, actually. It keeps me from having to talk to people like you."
Devore put a hand on her heart. "Ouch, hit me right in the heart, Granger. We used to be friends." She pouted to mock her.
"Yeah, used to be." Hermione emphasized with a sneer. She went back to her book.
She only rolled her eyes. A group of boys from Hufflepuff dragged Cedric into the Great Hall. "Come on, Ced, put your name in!" One of them hollered.
Cedric flashed them a gorgeous smile, laughing at their antics. Everyone watched him step over the restricted aging line with a piece of paper that had his name on it. Cedric placed the paper into the cup and the blue flames sparked, sending the room into cheers.
"Good job, Cedric!" Bennet clapped for him.
Hearing him, Cedric walked over and gave him a high five. "My number one fan." He glanced at Devore and smirked slightly. "Devore, good to see you."
She smirked back. "Hello, Diggory."
His smirk didn't wash away even as he left to go back to his friends. A sudden commotion came from the doorway of the hall and Fred and George came running inside. "Well lads, we've done it!" Fred announced.
"Cooked it up just this morning!" Said George.
Olivia came in behind them, her eyes wide, and she quickly went to sit by her friend. "What's happening? What did they make?" She asked and sat by her on the bench.
Devore only shrugged, not caring.
"It's not going to work." Hermione said in a sing sing voice. The twins have each other a look and rushed to sit on either side of their Gryffindor friend.
