"Paige, it's 3 in the morning, what are you doing up?" Kriss mumbles to me as she enters the living area with her penguin in tow. Her hair was sticking up in all directions and her eyes made her look like a racoon because she forgot to wash off her dark make up before she slept.

Quickly, I shut off my DS and walk over next to her. "Oh, no reason. Let me wash the make up off your face then you need to go back to bed." She started to say something but it all just trailed off into a groan. I guided her to the bathroom and kept the light off so as not to wake her up fully. Grabbing a cotton ball, I ran it under soothing warm water and glided it against her eyelids. Once it was all away I smiled, "There's the spunky little girl I know." With a chuckle, I lay her in bed and walk off silently.

Kriss may be only a couple months younger than me but I can't help but treat her like the little girl I remember. I walk into the kitchen and make myself some coco to sooth my thoughts. Tomorrow was my first day on set but that wasn't the only reason I couldn't sleep. At around ten I got a message from Brad, that set my nerves on the edge of a cliff. My thoughts reeled and I don't really know what to do with what he said.

Once I made sure Kriss was asleep I called him immediately. Sadly, he could only say what his message said, nothing more and nothing less. It seemed like he was keeping something, but with us here and him back home I couldn't do a thing. At least he was helping us still, everybody else had lost hope but I just couldn't let anything go- I still had faith. I probably will until the day I die.

After I got off the phone with Brad, I just couldn't sleep so I kept myself company by playing my DS. My DS is my life, it's the only thing that reminds me of my past life really, but it is also a fun game system. I finished a couple more levels then I found my eyes drooping. I remember turning away from the sun shining through the curtain and beating the boss before I was out like a baby panda.

"Paige, Paige. Get up, please." I rolled over and cuddled into a warm chest. It rumbled under me as I heard a small, deep laughter. My eyes fluttered open. I looked up to see Trystan with a small restricted smile on his face.

I raise my hand and sleepily trace my fingers on his lips. "You don't smile often, why?" That seemed to wipe the small smile off his face. He grabbed my hand and set it down as he stood up.

"You're lucky Kriss gave me a room key or you would be late. It's almost time for us to be at work." I stood up and stretched out like a cat. Looking around I noticed he didn't wake up Kriss and that's a great thing. She can't know that I'm doing this again, she will start to worry. I look down at what I'm wearing Trystan must have read my mind, "You look fine, you have to change there anyways. Just put your hair up and let's go."

Now, he was back to his bossy self. Is he bipolar? I roll my eyes and walk to the makeshift kitchen to grab me some toast. I leave a note that tells her I'm at work and she can do what she wants as long as she texts me to tell me what it is. I eat a piece as I slip on my boots and find Trystan impatiently waiting at the door. Slowly and silently, we walk out the door, down the steps and out onto the streets of Los Angelos.

"You're strange, you know that?" Great, he had to talk and break the peaceful silence. I look over to find him with his hands in his pockets and a scowl on his face. I want to retort with something mean, but that's not what Paige would do. So, instead I ignore him and smile.

About a block away from the studio, we cross paths with a kid, crying on the steps of a cute little shop. I stop and Trystan keeps going until he realises I have stopped. I nod my head to the kid but he just shakes his head. I roll my eyes and sit by the kid which makes her look up at me in confusion. Leaning in, I smile at her. "What's wrong?"
