Chapter II

Charlie ran, ran and ran until she was sure the creature was far behind her. Everything else becane unimportant. The humming rang in her ears, loudly and clearly. The only thing that matched its humming was the footsteps. Gigantic, thudding, loud footsteps. Charlie ran and ran until she crashed into Jackson, her blonde hair sprawled on the floor.
"Charlie!?" Jackson sat up and looked at her with his big, green eyes. The same eyes as her. He stood up and helped her up. The creature left her mind only for a minute. Charlie's eyes went wide as she looked behind her. The creature was nowhere in sight. Her eyes darted back to Jackson's. Neither of them noticed the rest of the group in the corner.
"I have the key!" Delilah suddenly shouted, drawing their attention to her. Charlie showed a sad smile. She looked at Penny, expecting her to say something. Nobody said anything. "The door is this way." Jackson said, his face showing no expression at all. Jackson led them all to the door, and Delilah opened it. No one said a word. Everyone passed through the door except Charlie, she glanced one final time at the room.
Thud.
Thud.
Thud.
Charlie looked to the right. Nothing. She looked to the left. The tall creature was there, stretching its hands out. It grabbed a strand of her hair before she pulled her head out into the door. She looked at Jackson, who was patiently waiting for her to exit through the second door. He gave a smile, and Charlie smiled back.
"Let's go." He grabbed her hand and rushed through the door. They both ran through a path lit by blue lanterns. They twirled and danced there, not caring about anything in the world. She looked into Jackson's eyes, big and blue.
"Jackson I-" Charlie started, but they bumped into Delilah. Delilah went "OOF," her rabbit flinging out of her hands. She fell on top of Charlie, and John went and caught the rabbit with one hand, reminding Charlie of how she looked when she slipped on the railing at school.
Jackson's face went straight out into a pile of mud, and Penny just stood there, laughing.
"Shut up, stupid." Charlie got Penny to help her up. Delilah got up by herself, snatched her rabbit from John, and walked forward with no words. Charlie, after Penny helped her up, soon regretted it. Penny pushed her into Jackson when he got up, sending him back into the mud with Charlie on top of him.
"REALLY!?" They said simultaneously.
Penny snickered under her breath.
"B!t(h." Jackson whispered. Charlie pushed herself up.
"You guys look like you're having s3x." Penny said. She immediately started laughed. After Charlie got up, she stood behind Penny and pushed her headfirst into the mud.
"Now who's laughing?" Charlie said, looking at Penny with a sarcastic face. She helped Jackson up, and left Penny to get up herself.
"You're no fun." She whispered to herself. But something caught her eye. A tall, black figure. Black hair with a black hat, and a sleek, black dress. The figure looked up, revealing a cracked white face with lipstick applied. It smiled at her.
Penny got up and brushed the mud out of her face, to take a closer look at the figure. Her purple hair gleamed brightly in the blue light.
"What's your name?" Penny asked the figure.
"Kintoru." It replied almost immediately.
"A- Are you-" Penny started.
"Sama." Kintoru replied, "I am one of the four.. let's call them spirits. Control, Jealousy, Rage, and Rebirth. I am Control, and Enzukai is Jealousy.. Rage is Netamo.. and Yuka is Rebirth. We four were sealed by eomeone of the name Kusonoki Masashige. A girl named Hiachi freed me from my seal.. but my three friends are still.. trapped." Kintoru looked away, her black hair swaying with the wind.
"Hiachi, is she-" Penny started again.
"The girl in that maze." Kintoru said. She flickered away.
"Penny! C'mon!" Penny turned her head around to see Charlie and the others waiting for her.
Delilah flashed a smile towards Penny, and Penny ignored it.
After everything, Jackson talked and argued with a farmer about a key, and the farmer said it was in his attic. Jackson called him a kidnapper, but the farmer refused to be called that. After 5 long minutes of arguing, the farmer gave up and pushed Jackson into the mud. He made an oof sound. Penny then revealed that she had taken the key while they were "talking". Then they split into two groups, one with Jackson, John, and Delilah, the other Charlie and Penny. Both groups walked through two separate tunnels, both filled to the brim with statues. Penny and Charlie talked so much they didn't even realize there was a statue following them.
The other three, on the other hand, were the exact opposite. A few minutes after starting to walk, Delilah yelled, "STATUE!" Jackson and her ran for their lives. John was calm, and he just walked in the same direction they were going the whole time.
Both tunnels met up at a house, it was old and wooden, with a dirt pathway and statues on both sides, following each side of the path up until the house. Inside the house there was a hole, and Delilah freely jumped down. The only thing they could hear was the oof sound she made. Charlie jumped next, then John, then Jackson and Penny jumped together. The cave under the house was, again, split into two paths. They all decided it was time to go as a group, so everyone decided they should go right.
In the right tunnel, at the end, there was a door.
"Hmmmmm I can't think what goes in this door." Pennyheld the key in her right hand and tapped her chin, while looking at the key, with her left. Everyone looked at her with unamused faces. Penny rolled her eyes and unlocked the door. Everyone went in. Penny looked one last time at the cave. Kintoru was there, barely visible, in the corner of the cave. Sama nodded at Penny. Penny closed the door without even nodding back.

Charlie looked at the hotel with a thinking face on. "Whatcha thinking about?" Jackson asked her. "Why we're here." She responded, her voice clear and echo-y, thanks to the big hotel. "It's Penny's fault, really. She contacted Sama." Jackson said. "Well then it's mine, too," She responded, still not looking at him, "because I helped summon this so-called 'Sama'." She finally looked at him, and he was making the stupidest face of stupid faces. Chatlie laughed a little and smacked him softly. Jackson rubbed his cheek and took the lead, everyone else following behind him. They soon got to the end of the hallway, and found an elevator. They piled in the small elevator, and picked floor 2, one floor down of what floor they were on.
They got off the elevator, and soon realized everything was a lot darker, and some sort of music was playing in the background.
"Isn't that biwu music?" Delilah asked, "When I was an exchange student in Japan, I played the biwu. It sounded like that."
They continued down the darker hallway, and turned right. They saw a shorter woman playing the "biwu",  she soon came running towards them. Everyone "yiped" in fear, and skidded away from the woman.
Someone whispered in Penny's head.
Biwaki.
Nice name for her, Kintoru. Penny thought back, Must be nice, just being a spectator.
No reply.
After running away from Biwaki, another elevator was seen. They piled into that one and went to floor 1.

Another maze. Greeeeeeat. Delilah thought. Her grip on the rabbit tightened, and she higged it from keeping to get mad. These mazes, I tell you! Why do WE have to do this stuff! I would rather, I dunno, get kidnapped by a murderer or MAFIA or something! At least I don't have to be in something like SQUID GAME! Delilah looked at the map shown for them. She made an ugh sound, then followed the rest of them into the maze.

>Okay so basically they all had BUNCHES of close calls with tge crawling lady, Kuriko. I just didn't want to write in a bunch of useless things.<

After completing the maze, with lots of sightings of a person seemingly crawling on the ground. There were two lanterns on the ground, and a much redder elevator. Everyone piled in once more, but after everyone was in, the elevator automatically took them somewhere.
