[ third person point of view ]

The Windrise ancient tree stretches skyward, the branches reach their limbs across the spring sky, clouds passing and drinking in the sunshine. A figure stood in front of the gigantic tree, admiring the immense size of the bark. (Y/n) was tracing her fingers over the bark, her fingerprint over the ridged patterns. She would visit the tree when they could, as it gave her comfort and peace amongst the chaos of life. Her (e/c) eyes stare up at the palest green leaves, rays of sunlight peeking through open spaces. (Y/n)'s body relaxed to the chirping of birds, the quacks of ducks in the lake, the leaves rubbing against each other.

There are footsteps heard with the snap of twigs and crunch of dead leaves, and she turned her head, smiling. "Venti, it's good to see you," She greeted the bard in green. "What are you doing here?"

The bard grinned and stood in a shallow dip of the dirt, so (Y/n) was a bit elevated. (Imagine the hill scene with Howl and Sophie) "I was looking for you, (Y/n)!" Venti says, his emerald green eyes bore into (e/c) ones. His eyes glimmered with mischief and (Y/n) giggled.

"You're up to something, aren't you?" She questioned, and the bard feigned an offended gasp.

"Wha- no! I am never up to something," He huffed, crossing his arms. (Y/n) raised her eyebrow, not buying it. Venti did a hamster face, "Okay, I may be up to something." His friend laughed, shaking her head, walking up to him.

"And what is this something, Venti? Hm?" (Y/n) said, and the bard shyly rubbed the nape of his neck. (Y/n) was a bit too keen, too witty to trick.

"I wanted to take you gliding," Venti confesses, "I was planning to surprise you, but you figured it out too quick." He laughed. (Y/n) grins.

"Venti, I'll happily glide with you!" She says joyfully. She might regret that decision, but Venti was excited.

"Yay! Take my hand," The bard said, holding out a hand for her. She grasped onto it, and he clutched her hand tightly. 'It's warm,' he thought. His eyes, the sweet hue of spring clover, stared at her and smirked. "You might wanna hold onto me."
