Nobody's POV

April 10, 1986, Friday

7:30 A.M

"Mystery, your brother will take you to school, I'm not sure he'll be able to get you from school, so you'll have to catch a ride." Mystery's mother says rushing out of the two-story home, "Have a good day at school." She yells getting into her car, and driving off.

"Sis, you ready?" Andre asks.

"Yeah, I just need to get something." She says, rushing up the stairs to get what she needed.

"Where is it!?" She exclaims to herself.

"Hurry up!" Andre yells.

"I'm still looking!" She yells back.

"Well hurry up before I leave yo ass!" He yells once more.

"Okay, got it!" She says after finding what she needed and heading down the stairs.

"Do you have everything?" Dre asks.

"Yeah." Mystery says.

"You sure?" He asks for a final time.

"Yes, I'm positive." She says reassuringly.

"Alright, let's go." He says as they exit the house, and he drives her to school.

Mystery's POV

Compton High School

"Alright, I love you, sis." He says.

"I love you too, Dre," I say.

"I'ma see you later, and if I can't be able to pick you up, you gon either have to catch a ride or walk, be safe with both options!" He says, saying the ending sternly.

"Okay, bye Dre," I say exiting the car and going into the school.

Once I was inside, I walk up to my locker grabbing my things in a hurry since I was almost late for my class.

"Hey, Mystery!" My friend Yanna says. Yanna and I have been friends since kindergarten, I remember our meeting like it was yesterday.

"Mommy, I don't wanna be here!" I whine

"Baby, you'll make lots of friends here though!", My mother tells me. "You'll see me again in a little bit!"

"But I don't want you to leave me!"

"It's only for a little bit, I promise."

"You promise," I asked

"I promise." She reassures once more

"Okay, you prom-"

"Bye baby." She says, cutting me off and leaving

I looked around, almost on the verge of crying, until Yanna tapped my shoulder.

"What's your name?" She asks as I turn around immediately hoping it was my mother

"Mystery," I reply

"What type of name is that?" She asks

"I don't know." I shrug

"My name's Yanna."

"Nice name."
