The children had all congregated in Taylor and Clifton's room, and when Kaitlyn arrived she had found Edelweiss ecstatic.
"I'm S Rank!" Edelweiss cheered.
"Oh! Oh that's so cool!" Kaitlyn hugged her in congratulations. "That's so awesome! Our own Edelweiss, S Rank!"
They chatted about their own ranks, even showing each other their papers. Clifton had made B Grade, and Richard was A but they were all absolutely shocked that Edelweiss made S Rank. They kept on going, until Taylor came in.They quietly shut the door behind them.
"A+ Rank!" They shouted.
Every one of them erupted into a cheer. They all went over their unique scores together, and it turned out that each of them had made S Rank in at least one category too. Clifton was S in Third Eye, Taylor was S Rank in Sixth Sense, Richard was S Rank in Projection and Edelweiss was S Rank in telepathy.
They worked out how the tests had worked together too, even though Edelweiss at first insisted they not talk about it. The Projection Test was obvious, the sphere getting more and more strong as it went on and each strike was a new level of ability. It was probably calibrated to the strength of the barrier. The Telepathy one was simple, too. The better your telepathy, the better you could hear it and as such the closer you got, the lower your score. S+ Rank would be sensing it from outside the tape. The Sixth Sense Test was a bit more interesting - obviously there were some things in the box. Even Taylor couldn't tell exactly what they were, but they were able to tell they were all the same thing, it was just some were more psychic than others. Eliza had told them that by figuring out they were all the same, they had gotten S-Rank. Presumably figuring out what they were would net you S+. The Third Eye test was the most interesting of all. They deduced the orb had been somehow changed to feed people images based on how strong their ability to read them would be, based on the fact that Clifton and Richard knew how to actively use psychometry but found the ball reacting without them using it. The woman in the image was happy because she had just found out she was pregnant with her first child - she and her husband had been trying for a while and they had some sort of plan for their children. Clifton even got her name, Stella. Kaitlyn wondered what would be the criteria for S+ rank there. Probably knowing what the plan was, or maybe knowing when this random event happened.
The Telekinesis one Kaitlyn was able to explain in total. The runes on the sphere really had taken the color of whoever was casting it, and it would use the force of the psychic energy pushing it up to instead push it down. Clifton hadn't even gotten it over her head, but he still got a B grade.
"Wow. You're...you're even scarier than me," Edelweiss said.
"No, I'm only B+," Kaitlyn said. "I probably couldn't do that for as long as you could."
"But you could do it!" Clifton reminded, "You're insane!"
Kaitlyn blushed. She scratched the back of her neck, unsure of what to say, before Taylor once again saved the day.
"Hey, so we each have an S rank in one of the 5 fields. If we all came together we could be like, a super duper unbeatable psychic." Taylor pointed out.
Before anyone could say anything, the door swung open and smashed into the wooden dresser that Clifton had pushed against the wall. Kaitlyn, who was positioned such that she was gazing at Voltaire's tank, saw the poor turtle immediately collapse into his shell.
It was Sasha, with her bright eyes glaring over everyone.
"Hello again children! How did it go!"
"Great! We all made the Advanced Classes!" Clifton cheered.
Sasha grinned, "Congratulations! But you five are not done."
