"[deadname], Kip! Come down for dinner!" Ash grimaced out of the sound of their legal name being called out, as their mother refused to call them anything remotely masculine. Even though the name Ash was actually a very androgineous name, Ash's mum was a snowflake.

Quick light thuds were heard from upstairs and soon gradually started getting louder. Ash was running as quickly as they could towards the kitchen giggling and screaming while Kip was running towards Ash wiggling his fingers and laughing so hard that he turned purple.

"Hey Ash, Kip, calm down c'mon you're gonna get stabbed or something" Ash's dad said laughing too.

Ash's dad was a lot more loose with the combo and actually didn't care about gender stereotypes but was still quite aggressive and head forward when needed to be.

On the other hand, Ash's mother was practically fuming. She got agitated very easily and did the most stupid things when she was upset. Luckily, Ash's parents knew each other well enough to know how to calm each other down.

"Hey Kip, you gotta leave sorry hun, [deadname] and I have to talk about family stuff. Your mum's waiting outside for you." Kip looked at Ash for a second as he knew they didn't like their legal name, but went up to Ash's room anyway and packed his stuff up.

Kip came out of Ash's room looking disappointed but he didn't complain. "Bye guys! See you tomorrow Ash?" Kip asked as he already knew the answer was yes, he opened the door and ran to his mum.

A strong gust of wind intruded the dining room making realisation hit Ash's mothers head as she got up and quietly closed the door. As soon as she got back up she was sitting down again, a tone of seriousness in her expression making a chill run down Ash's spine.

Ash's dad looked nervous and sad as he looked at his wife as if he was asking for something.

"Oh Jesus Henry, do I have to do everything around here?" Ash's mother said while massaging her temples. Although Ash's parents got along, the majority of the time, they would still argue and fight quite regularly. After a bit of hesitation she finally spoke.

"[deadname], your father and I have decided to put you in an all girls boarding school."

Damn, ok.
