⋆·˚ ༘ *First day on the job ꕤ Y/N'S POV
I woke up feeling the sun hitting my face immediately I jumped away then opened my eyes looking around at the place I call "home" sighing I then realized I couldn't find my daughter anywhere, my eyes shot open and looked around the almost full light up room of my best friend's house and rushed out of the room and down the stairs hearing commotion from the kitchen. As I turn the corner for the kitchen a satisfied sigh fell from my lips as I stared at my best friend holding my daughter while singing.
Pov change
Your best friend finally noticed you watching from the entry way she smiled and called you over , walking over she handed your daughter Corey to you and she began babbling nonsense which made you smile but sad at the same time because you wouldn't have to be living like this if you had just listened to your parents and stopped being stubborn maybe you wouldn't have been cut off and disowned or live under your best friend's room as a single mother , but you certainly didn't regret to a single soul about giving birth to your wonderful 15 months old daughter .
Jeniele noticed the mixed emotions in your face and immediately snapped you out of it "Aye no negative over here , stop. " she said sternly glaring at you making you groan and brought Corey to the high chair you bought with half of last your pay check and sat on the counter while Jeniele made breakfast , humming a familiar tune then you caught on after a little while and hummed too.
"N/n don't you got a job to go to as some maid and teen sitter or some bullshit" Jeniele asked looking at you from over her shoulder "Oh shit yeah , as you said that I got a hour to get ready and get my black ass over there before I get fired on the first day!" You said panicked and ran to the bathroom to take a bath, after your shower you exited and ran to your room and putting on the uniform you were handed for the job and went down back down to the kitchen.
"babes can you watch Corey for me please?" You asked her nervously , she only chuckled and nodded taking Corey up to clean her up . You kissed Corey on her cheek goodbye which made her babble on and clap even more making you laugh and hugged her then jeniele came over for her hug too and took Corey from you .
"Okay ya'll I'm actually gonna go now because I'm late as hell" You said rushing out the door then called a Uber and began waiting for it , it came and you hopped in waiting to be dropped off at your desired destination. After awhile of staring outside the window the car came to an stop and you handed the man cash and got out of the car walking to the big estate you were now working at , as you reached the front door and knocked twice another attractive looking woman opened the door greeting you gently with a smile .
"Hello Ms. Sullivan I am Ms. Jones the 'owner' of the estate pleasure to meet you." She said and you smiled back at her "follow me for your timetable today and before we do sign your name over there." She said pointing at list under a clock , you walked over there and signed your name and went back to her standing directly beside her she gave you side eye and you stopped walking, staring at her with your brows raising ready to open your mouth to ask what her problem is she looked back at you and laugh "why yo goofy ass la-" she cuts you off turning to you" it's better to have a good impression on your first day and I see you have a really smart mouth love , better use it wisely" she said lifting your chin staring straight into your eyes making you flustered, she dropped your chin satisfied with the reaction she got "Don't fall for your boss that's not good manners ma'am" she said with her back facing you and grabbed a paper from a table and handed it to you "Your timetable lovely get on with your work" she said and walked off around the corner disappearing.
