Cross was training with the captain of the guard, trying to get stronger, but is struggling. Though he is really strong, his moves are very predictable and the captain was losing his patience. The captain gave up.
Cross was really upset, but didn’t beg the captain to continue. He was about to leave when he felt that someone was going to punch him. He dodged and saw the arm that missed. He didn’t have time to think about who it could be as he had to duck from another attack. He turned and managed to knock his attacker down and pin him. He got up when he saw who it was.
“Sire! I am so sorry! Are you alright?” Cross helped Nightmare up.
“I’m fine. I’m surprised that he gave up. You are perfectly teachable.” Nightmare said. He suddenly swung at Cross and Cross caught his hand. Nightmare grinned.
“Good job!” Nightmare said as he took a kick at him and Cross got out of the way and ducked simultaneously as Nightmare tried to get him with a tentacle. Cross maneuvered to manage to get Nightmare pinned again. When he relaxed, he ended up sitting on Nightmare’s pelvis area and laughed.
“And he gave up on teaching you? I was caught by surprise when you got me pinned.” He went quiet for a few minutes. “Can you get off my pelvis please?”
“Oh, I’m sorry!” He got off and pulled Nightmare up.
