Karl pushes Tubbo against a tree, his hands slamming tightly into Tubbo's ribcage.

"Why do I feel this way?"

"What do you feel?"

"NOTHING!" Karl screams, Tubbo shutting his eyes in response.

"Geez, Karl. Chill out, my dud-"

"NO ONE TOLD YOU TO CHILL OUT WHEN YOUR HONKING SURGE SCREWED YOUR LIFE OVER!"

"Karl, chill!" Purpled yells, slapping the taller brunette's hands away. Karl doesn't take no for an answer, his gut is grinding. Gagging, he takes the journal and runs off.

"Karl! Wait!" Tubbo calls, but Karl doesn't dare turn back.

In a rush, Karl lifts the toilet seat. The toilet water sloshes around and gives in to Karl's shaky breath. He just needs to throw up and he'll be alright, right?

RIGHT?!

No, that's what Tubbo said he tried and it didn't work, of course. The only way out of this is death, and Karl doesn't want to die.

He doesn't feel any emotions towards dying, though. Which is odd since he fears such things. Or, at least, he used to.

But now, honestly, he'd prefer death over this.

"Karl?" a British voice from outside the bathroom door calls.

"Who is it?"

"Tubbo. Sapnap let me in."

"...Come in." Tubbo slowly opens the door, removing his Snowchester cost before popping a squat next to the sick boy.

"Do you have an urge? Like, you know... I did? For me, it was nukes, what is yours?"

"I don't even know if this is the same thing you had, Tubbo."

"Seems to be similar, but then again you haven't gotten a voice in your head or a designated addiction. So I mean, maybe it was just a moment? Maybe you're just sick, Karl." Karl pouts, looking down at the toilet before closing the lid and standing up.

"Maybe I am. Say, Tubbo... How do you feel about taking a trip to Lilaville? Just you and I! It's been so long since we've hung out." Karl forcefully smiles, placing a shaky hand on the shorter boy's shoulder. "It'll be fun!"

"Why do we need to go to Lilaville of all places? A trip there takes 2 days on feet!"

"I think you and I should just... visit the library. You and I are the people for it, right?... Actually, I've gotta show you something."

"Woah..." Tubbo gasps, looking around. The two boys are standing in the middle of Karl's Portal Room, tons of journals are tossed and trashed. Ever since Tubbo came back, Karl had no reason to time travel and find answers. So it's been almost a year since Karl turned back time. "This place is huge!"

"Welcome to my portal room, Tubs."

"Is there where you disappeared to after the... the... explosion in L'Manberg?"

"Yes."

"Oh."

"I needed somewhere to go."

"I understand."

"But that was like, basically years ago. It doesn't matter, there's a reason I brought you here." Karl pushes a button near what looks like just a wall, but the wall opens a hole to a black corridor. "Follow me, and watch your step." Complying, Tubbo follows the taller boy up a staircase. With each step, a torch lit up. Almost on cue as if staged, maybe it was wired. Finally, the two approach the top. And before them is an empty black room, seeming to go on forever.

"Where are we?" Tubbo asks, hearing his voice playback.

"Where it all happens." Karl lifts his sleeve, revealing his watch. The hands are connected, which means Karl's in the present. The brunette looks back at Tubbo with a genuine smile. "Tubs?"

"Hm?"

"Let's turn back the time."
