The days of reckoning that were
Remember?
When you asked for opening the knot
Of our impregnable love thread
I vigorously, but not harshly
Tried my best
To hold you back
But, you left me in sorrows
In grief
And in pain
Then came the day
When you tried
To retrieve me back
Begging for a love
Of which once you hold no fain
But my loose thread
Of evitable love
All your efforts and exertions
Are in vain
As I found new friends
With unbounded destinies
The story of a love
Between the two of us
Is nothing more
But a fable which becomes older
With the passing time.
