Warm winter evenings

Taylor was sitting in an armchair next to the fireplace. Outside, the weather was freezing cold and snow was falling down in big chunks.
She loved days like this. Sitting next to The cozy fire while drinking tea and reading her favorite book.
In front of her on the couch was the sleeping joe. His face snuggled into the warm fur of Benjamin. He had along day yesterday, because he helped his younger brother Patric to move out.
Taylor knew that joe was really stressed out about it, because it was difficult for him to see his little brother become an adult. And Taylor could relate. The first time Austin moved out and into college Taylor was very emotional and would call him every second, to se if he's ok.

When joe made a jawning noise she looked up.
His eyes were half way open and he was grinning at her. She smiled back and got up to Joyn him on the couch.
It was her favorite thing to do. Laying in his arms and smelling his scent, while he told her about his day. When she was settled on his lap, he moved a hand to her tight and began jawning. " what time is it?"
He asked her with sleepy eyes. "You slept trough the whole afternoon, it's already 6:00 pm" she responded while ruffling through his hair with one hand. " I am sorry, I know you wanted to go for a long walk today, I was just really exhausted". While saying this he got up from the couch and carried her to the kitchen. She began to laugh " what are you planing to do?"
"I am making it up to you, what do you want to have for dinner, i am cooking" he responds.
"Hmmm.., that's nice. I would like to have your famous lasagna and not just because, that's the only thing you know how to cook" she smirked.
Joe grinned and winked at her.
As he arrived in the kitchen he put Taylor on the counter of the kitchen island. " you know we can go for a walk tomorrow, if you want", he says, " I am sure the snow will still be there"
Taylor got up from the counter and startet looking for wine in the cabinet, she responds
" joe, we got invited for lunch tomorrow from Blake and Ryan, did you forget?"
"oh shit, I totally forgot about that" he looked at her while cooking " I am sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me this last few days. Maybe we can go all together. I am sure the kids would like that"
Taylor looked at him with a worried expression " I am sure they would like that"

While making dinner the couple drank wine and Taylor told Joe all about her friend Abigail's new boyfriend. " you know i am happy she already moved on from her divorce, but I am also a little worried. It seems a little fast. She knows this guy for like 2 month and they're already planing on moving in together. I am just scared she's gonna get hurt again"
Joe turned to her from the stove " i understand what you're saying, but have you met the guy, I mean, maybe he's just the right person she needs right now" joe took a spoon full of sauce and waved it in front of his girlfriends face,
" here, try this"
She put the spoon in her mouth and moaned " oh it's really good" he grinned," told you, my lasagna is special, it's made with love." Taylor rolled her eyes," yeah I hope so....You are probably right by the way, about Abigail, maybe I should try and trust her. She can make her own decisions. And by the way, you should do the same thing with Patric, he will be fine"
Joe came closer and gave her a hug " you're right, we both should concentrate on us. I'll try to enjoy being together while we can. I don't want to think about being apart from you next month" Taylor put her face in his neck and breathed in his scent " you know, I'll visit you on set all the time, so you don't even have to worry, and I am proud of you, for having such a great part in this movie"
Joe kissed her on the shoulder. Then on the nose, and them on the had. " I love you" he responds to her, " you smell really nice by the way" he looked at her and couldn't help but lean in to give her a kiss. She responds to the kiss  while putting her arms around his neck.
Both of them already finished the bottle of wine, so they were kind of tipsy. Taylor had  her significant blush on her nose, which she always had, when she was drunk. On the stove the Sauce for the food was boiling, but nether of them seemed to notice.
Joe put his hands unter her butt and lifted her up to put her back on the counter. Still making out, Taylor began to grip onto his hair, slowly getting more and more into it. They always got distracted when they were around each other, all their friends were already teasing them about it, but they just couldn't help it. It was like they had this magnetic pull between them and they couldn't resist it.
Joe's breathe hitched, when Taylor's hand began to go under his shirt and caressed his back. He put one hand on the back of her neck and slowly pulled back from the kiss to ran his hand along the shape of her face. " I could look at you all day. You don't wanna know what you do to me, when you look at me like that." Taylor began to laugh" you are so cheesy, it sometimes scares me" her laugher didn't stop, her body began to shake and she couldn't contain herself. Joe pulled back from her and frowned, but he couldn't help it and a small  grinn formed on his face. " I thought you like it, when I get all romantic and stuff. You know I try really hard". She pulled herself together and stood up from the counter "Yeah sorry, you're right. I am really flattered and will try to contain myself", she grinned. Joe was about to lean in for another kiss, as the fire allarm began to go of. " oh shit, we forgot about the food". He rushed to the stove while Taylor tried to shut the alarm off.
