Maybe we came to conclusion too soon

I finished chapter 2!! It took me a while but now it's ready to read. Hope you enjoy it!

The next day, Taylor's alarm went of pretty early, because they were invited to Blake and Ryan for brunch. Joe was still a little tired, but he also understood that their friends had children wich where probably already up and waiting to be entertained.
Taylor stood in the bathroom, brushing her teeth, while joe was trying to at least open one of his eyes. He heard Taylor chuckle and unclosed both eyes to watch her. She stood in the doorway and looked at him with her toothbrush in her mouth. He decided to join her and soon both of them where ready to leave.
Joe new Taylor was really excited to see the kids. She loved them and they also loved her. He was always taken back, by how good she was with children.

On the drive the couple talked while joe would steel lookes at Taylor, who was driving. „Stop that, you making me nervous", she chuckled.
He grabbed her hand," sorry, I just now how excited you are, it makes you glow" he smiles.
Taylor smiled back and squeezed his hands.
„What is up with all the compliments lately? Are you hiding something? Where is my boyfriend, who teases me all the time"?, she wondered. Joe didn't know what it was but, he thought it may have something to do with the fact, that he had to leave soon, for a movie.
"I just find you very attractive" he says teasingly and places a kiss on her hand.

When they arrived on the front door of their friends house  Taylor stopped joe from ringing and brought him in for a passionate kiss, which he responded. "Thanks for making me feel good about myself all the time" she says and he put his hand to her hips to pull her in again. Their make out session stopped, when they heard small voices from inside wich where coming closer. The door opened and Taylor got tackled into a hug by two small girls.
While Taylor said hello to the kids, jo smirked at Blake, who opened the door. "I think they might like her more than they like you" he joked and gave Blake a hug. She just nodded and laughed " how are you guys?"
„ we are really good actually", answered Taylor while freeing herself from the girls and stepping into the house." jo had a really full week, but other than that it's going great", she continued.
"thats good to hear", Blake smiled while leading them into the living room, „ Ryan is a little sick" she gestured to the couch where a pale looking Ryan was sitting.
"oh no that's too bad" Said Taylor while Ryan just waved at them, drinking a cup of tea.
"We were actually wondering if you guys would like to go on a walk through the snow" jo asked with a concerned look to the sick man on the couch.

Ryan's face lit up "I think that is a great idea!
I really need some time to rest, without being asked if I want to watch frozen a hundred times", he said and looked at Blake with a begging smile.
Blake raised her eyebrows " you are really ungrateful, they are just trying to make you feel better, but fine I think the kids would actually enjoy being outside for a little bit"
Taylor cheered and joe started to carry little Inez to the hallway while she giggled and booped his nose.
" joe, do you mind pulling the sledge, it gets really heavy after a while" Blake asked him while everyone was getting dressed in big Coates.
Joe was totally fine with that and was happily strutting in front of Taylor and Blake while they talked.

Soon the kids and Jo where a few meters ahead and loudly talking. Blake used this opportunity to talk to Taylor a little more privately: " I know I just asked you, when we were inside, but how are things between you to?"
Taylor sighted and smiled at her friend, "They are actually really good, I mean I am extremely happy."
" Then why did you sigh?", asked Blake, who got curious. " I just have a strange feeling in my gut, like there is something he does not want to tell me, but I don't know what it is. And honestly I shouldn't even worry about it, because he's been so touchy and loving lately, that I doubt it is something about our relationship.", answered Taylor and watched the kids in front of them as they tried to climb joes back. Blake watched her friend and began to talk again:" Maybe he want's to take your relationship to the next big step. Have you guys talked about having kids?.... I mean
You guys are together for over 5 years now. And that would explain why he is so extra touchy with you."
Taylor looked at her friend with a small smile:
"I mean we talked about having kids a few weeks ago, but we agreed that we're both too busy with work right now and I am still on the pill, so nothing can really happen"
Blake looked at her with compassion in her eyes. " You never know Taylor, maybe he changed his mind and now he is too afraid to tell you... I mean look at him with the kids", she gestured to the group in front of them,"He looks really happy"
Taylor had to admit that Joe looked like he had never done anything else. She smiled again:
"You know I have to admit, if he would ask me again right now if I wanted to have children, I would say yes immediately. But I don't even know if that is what he has been thinking about... I should ask him about it tonight"
Both women took each other hand and began to walk faster, so they would catch up to joe and the girls again.

After they returned back home Taylor and Joe fell onto the couch, exhausted from the wild day. Taylor was about to drift to sleep as joe sat up and cleared his throat. Taylor opened her eyes again and looked up from her place on his lap. He looked at her with a concerned look on his face. Even though Taylor had seen him a million times she was taken back by his beauty every time. She lifted her hand and began to stroke the side of his face. He began to close his eyes and snuggled into her hand like a puppy. She laughed and Joe couldn't help and giggled to, but still with sad eyes.
"You know I will miss you so much when I am gone again", he began to speak. Taylor listend to him and spoke: " I'll miss you too, but I know that we will get through it and see each other again."
Joe began to comb through her hair with his fingers:" I just......maybe my traveling is holding us back from bringing our relationship forward"
Taylor began to stiffen and sat up to look at him with serious eyes: " you know I feel like we move forward every day, because you prove to me that I can trust you no matter what. And sure it is complicated sometimes but we both love our job und I can sacrifice not seeing you from time to time, so you can be happy and the same thing goes for you."
Joe leaned forward and captured her face in both of his hands " you are right.." he began to lean forward to kiss her passionately.
As she breaks away from him, she grinned at him: " I wanna tell you something. I don't know how to ask you but..." "what is it?", he interrupts her.
" I wanna talk to you about the whole kids situation" she said. Joe began to grin and leaned his hand on the back of the couch:" what about it?", he asked.
" I just feel like, maybe we came to a conclusion too soon. I mean, yeah sure, we are really busy and stuff but who says, we are not able to be good parents and work at the same time. I just..." she stopped talking and looked to the ground. Joe shucked and looked back up, as he began to speak: "sometimes I think you can read my mind. I was wondering the same thing... why can't we be traveling parents. I mean we love each other and trust each other. And you are the only person who I can imagine having a child with"
Taylor leaned forward and began to hug him. " I love you", she whispered in his ear., " let's have a child"
He chuckled again and whispered: " you know it will take a while to get Pregnant, we should probably start trying right now"
Taylor leaned back from the hug and grinned. " you know i always love to sleep with you, but it is really late and I am really tired"
Joe got up from couch and began to lift her up.
She let out a little scream and snuggled her had in his neck.
" let's go to sleep" joe said and carried her up to their bedroom
