"Sayori, I told you once. I do not want to be in a club.." You said, clearly being uncomfortable at the grip your best friend had on your own arm. Your friend grinned and laughed, untightening her grip, "Don't be so pessimistic, [Y/N]! You'll love it, I promise!"

You forced yourself to grin, but it was extremely clear to be fake, "I really don't want to, Sayori. I love writing, but not that much." Sayori knew you had a passion for writing. You were extremely good at it, too. you got good grades in your English classes every year because of it.

The teacher would always tell you that you would do good in essay contests, but you prefered your essays be private. You were only good at writing informational essays, which wasn't super obvious, but you had a pain in your ass when doing fictional essays.

Of course, you barely wrote your own essays. You just read books or just vibed. You weren't really an outgoing person like Sayori. Hell, you weren't even sure how you became friends with her. She's the complete opposite of you.

But, you appreciated her company, even if she was loud, obnoxious, and outgoing. You chuckled at the thoughts in your head. Suddenly, your thoughts were put to a stop. You both stopped at a classroom doorway. The sign on the top read "Literature Club".

"It's in here! We asked if we could borrow an unused classroom for our club, and they gave us this one! We were just glad it wasn't musty." Sayori smiled awkwardly, forcing out a chuckle. You grinned at her, clearly amused.

Then, you were quickly pulled into the classroom, and you fell...

Straight face down. You laid there for a minute or two, and felt embarrassed. The classroom was quiet, but the quietness felt very loud.

Suddenly, you hear footsteps approach you. You had looked up, only to find a female student, who had long, light brown hair. It was put up in a ponytail, and there was a bow attached to the hair tie.

"Are you okay?" she asked, looking down at you, and lending you a hand. You blush violently, your face becoming almost a blood red. You took her hand as she lifted you up.

"Yeah, I am ok." You reply quietly, your gaze avoiding her own. She laughed, "You don't seem to talk much, do you?" Then, she reached out her hand, "I'm Monika, the president of the Literature Club.I see you already know Sayori."

You nodded, and Sayori got behind you, which startled you. "Yep, we've known each other since we were babies!" Her grin was bright.

"I told you, it's real literature!" You three heard in the hallway. You looked behind you, raising an eyebrow at the commotion. Then, two girls walked in. One was shorter than the other, with pink hair, similar to Sayori's, and the other had long, dark purple hair. Both girls had one or more pins in their hair.

You blushed furiously, and you felt embarrassed. You were like this around pretty girls all the time, and you were surrounded by four of them.

"Oh, good evening, Natsuki and Yuri!" Monika smiled brightly at the two who had walked inside the classroom. Natsuki, the shorter one, had her arms crossed and had looked away from Yuri. Both were unhappy, but Yuri didn't show too much emotion.

However, they both looked over at you, noticing that you were a new club member. Natsuki scoffed, "oh great, just what we need.. another member." Monika frowned at her, "Natsuki! That's not very nice to say to our new member!"

You laughed, finding Natsuki's attitude amusing. "It's alright, I don't mind. I am.. Kind of used to it from other students."

"Natsuki!" Monika exclaimed, "You upset our newest member!" She frowned at her, being dissapointed in Natsuki's attitude.

"Oh no!!" You assured Monika, "She didn't upset me, at all! I meant it as though I get comments like that frequently."

Natsuki scoffed, and looked up at Monika, "What did I tell you? They are tough as a brick!" She smirked up at the taller girl, and glanced back at you, "Nice to know one doesn't get upset over my 'attitude', huh?"

You laughed, "I suppose so. I am kind of used to it, since we are in most classes together."

"We.. We are?" Natsuki questioned, and scratched the back of her head, "Well... that explains a lot.."

Everyone laughed together, even Natsuki. All 4 of them, especially Monika, introduced you to each thing in the literature club, and helped you if you needed it. Natsuki came off as very aggressive, Yuri came off as obsessive, and Monika came off as... well, you really couldn't describe her clearly.
