Thus the seven days have passed, Yuuji and his other classmates could finally head back to the dorms.
The rooms were clean just like how they have left it, but it was quiet. Not that they have minded due to the fatigue that have hit them as soon as they felt they have come home.
Yuuji drops his bags and he headed to where his potted plants were. He then noticed how the soil was damp.
Did Gojou-sensei water these...?
Seeing how his teacher play with his fellow classmates, Yuuji smiled to himself. Fiddling one of the few small leaves with his dainty fingers.
The calloused fingers he developed in contrast to the smooth leaves. The sunshine that fills the room he missed.
The college felt more akin to a home.
Yuuji felt the butterflies flap at his stomach and he slightly slap his cheeks. It had been months since he met his teacher.
But it had also been months since he felt this way.
He was in love. Certainly captivated.
Gojou-sensei if he were to describe the man in words would be too much for his mind to even comprehend.
He had not known much yet he had fallen quite deep.
The warmth on his cheeks, the heavy pounding of his heart to the point it felt his heart was about to leap off his chest.
The beauty of the jaded eyes he had once seen. It was akin to seeing the starry night sky through an eyepiece.
The low playful and mischievous voice, the aura of a mystery and melancholy.
To Yuuji, perhaps only to him.
Gojou was like the rarest flower in the garden. The most beautiful, the strongest yet the loneliest flower.
That's why the tiny bird Yuuji wanted to cherish such flower. Even if he was just merely a witness, one among the most who'll see Gojou.
Yuuji wants to capture every moment his teacher shines the brightest.
"Yuuji... Earth to Yuuji!" Nobara flicked his forehead as Yuuji scowled at the powerful hands of Nobara.
Compared to her, Gojou-sensei is milder...
Yuuji remembered the time Gojou suddenly popped up beside him, but because of his training the jumping sensation in his heart was unnoticed.
"We're going to eat dinner soon, so get cooking!" Nobara pushed him to the kitchen counter.
Yuuji sighs as he tied his apron, mixing the ground meat and vegetables as he hum. The excited students talk amongst themselves as Gojou occasionally glances at Yuuji. Watching with elation as he watches the said man cooking.
He'll make a good housewife.
Gojou hid his lips that was grinning widely as soon the glances became a long stare at the said man.
Gojou was never interested in cooking. Meals are brought to him cooked and prepared by the finest chefs since he was born. But seeing Yuuji cooks feels incredibly warm and homely.
Gojou was grinning like a fool, as he silently watched Yuuji. The group's noise turning subtle as the scent of cooking filled his nostrils and the comfort of home seeps to his heart.
The small things he never gave a thought, slowly becoming important to him.
The presence of one small bird who flew to his world, gradually changing him.
Gojou who was used to the world of greed and evil spirits. Had never met such a pure soul like Yuuji.
"Time to eat." Yuuji smiles as he place the round meatballs on the hotpot they were now sharing.
Gojou now focused as he tries to get as much meatballs as he could.
"Ah! Sensei that's unfair." Nobara scowls as she defend the few meatballs she had, looking enviously at Gojou's bowl.
"You can't have these. Bleh!" Gojou teased as he took another to his mouth. Almost moaning at the delicate taste.
"You know there's a lot more so don't fight for it." Yuuji sighs as he prepares more meatballs for them.
The group soon ended eating and Yuuji barely had enough left. Sighing he picked up his chopsticks grumbling, "I cooked and now I get the least to eat... How great."
Yuuji sadly placed the chopsticks on to his lips as he was left mostly with vegetables.
"Yuuji, I saved some... These meatballs are still good. Through infinity." Gojou proudly placed a bowl filled with Yuuji's favourites as Yuuji gasp and place it on his own bowl.
"You can use infinity in this? Thank you Gojou-sensei..." Yuuji smiles happily as he took a piece of meat to his mouth and sigh in delite.
Gojou watched him eat with a silent smile as he even brew some tea for them to share.
"Sensei... How was your week?"
"Not much happened, I missed how noisy the dorms that's all."
"I see, I think maybe next time its good if we all go for a vacation... Not just a mission but a real time to relax... Like a school trip."
"I never had a normal school trip... I suppose that would be nice too."
The two went for a casual talking, plans they wanted to do. Plans that they will never be able to fulfill. Despite that, they enjoyed the moment.
Yuuji finished eating after some time as he then lose balance and ended up bumping onto Gojou's shoulders. The infinity being off made his weight lean onto Gojou and he felt their skin come into contact.
"Ah! Sensei sorry... I'll make it up to you."
"Its okay though, but you'll make it up with me... Yes?"
"Yes, that's right!"
"Then what about a date tomorrow?"
"Ah yes of course!... Wait what?"
Gojou slowly went around Yuuji as he playfully slap the boy's shoulder.
"I'm looking forward to our date tomorrow... Prepare it well Yuuji-kun."
Just like that Gojou left his student dumfounded and a blushing mess in addition to that.
