Silent footsteps draped across the carpet hallways . The figure snuck past the guards with ease. The figure was slim and silent.

They followed the path which was memorised on purpose when they accepted a vacancy simply for this night and this night only.

A twist here, a small jimmy there, aaaaannnd there it is.

The figure pockets their tools and twists the doorknob. They step into the room and quietly close the door behind him.

The figure was in the room they wanted to be or the room where it is; The fox miraculous.

Remove its glass casket and dash outta here

The figure took a look at the necklace. Ends of their lips curl upwards.

"Hey!"

Crap! Gotta go!

The figure smashed the casket grabbed the for miraculous leaped through the window victorious as a grin earned its place

Pale long digits tapped on a table with a vigorous rhythmic pattern. Curling and uncurling repeatedly to pass time.

Marinette always was a simple woman who preferred simple choices

Like evenings, where skies are painted blue, pink and orange when she prefers to train, go on walks or lie down under a tree and daydream. Or flowers which vary in shades. Once withered only to bloom brighter. She always wants to enjoy cloudy and gloomy mornings where she can have time to herself. Or deserts she would steal from the kitchen when facing that time of month. Or read a book at home because who else wouldn't want to read their favorite novel from the comfort of your own home.

But alas, misfortunes and tragedies will follow as well. Like working or when she has to actually talk to people

And that last one is the worst one

Which is why she is in a war meeting. And the prince was late.

If someone told her 20 years ago that she became a General under the person she needs to murder.

She would laugh. Loudly

King Gabriel Agreste was expanding his borders but an obstacle was blocking their line. The Tsurugis.

Their relationship was deteriorating, And so was Gabriel's patience.

Gabriel was stern. Quick to anger, stubborn as a rock unchallenged and powerful. sophisticated but deadly, Swift yet hard hitting.

When Marinette started working under as General she struggled to deny a man with gentle features of such would murder millions and order armies. A kind face who would speak in a gentle tone. Wisdom and stories to share with children.

But he spoke of demands vile, cold and firm. Order armies to reduce kingdoms to dirt and burn villages. Just like-

"I Apologize for my late arrival"

Then gazing into dull lush green emerald eyes, tan sunkissed porcelain skin and dirty blonde wild hair. White sleeves latching from the door and retracing back to that blue vest of fine delineation. Standing in position with poised pride. He stopped to meet her eyes, they didn't turn away for a moment.
