"Let me guess, cora? She's the only person that could convince you to leave London"derek said once he came from inside the school to see that I was blocking his car with my motorcycle.

"And Peter"i told him.

"Why are you here?"he asked me and I took off my shades.

"To save you from the alpha pack"i told him and he scoffs.

"I don't need your help"he said and I rolled my eyes.

"That's where you're wrong, your pride is what's going to get you killed" i told him, putting my shades back on.

"You need all the help you can get derek"

"Ethan, I always forget, how many bones in the human body?"i stood by the tree watching as aiden held onto another werewolf.

"I don't know. Let's count."Ethan said, only to be punched in the face by another werewolf. They were both young, obviously betas.

"That's one."they all took out their claws and red and yellow eyes glowing but before a fight could began a scream was heard.

Everyone rushing to see what it was and it was a dead body, it was horrible.

"What are you doing here, luna?"I heard Ethan ask as he blocked my line of vision.

"Well I figured since I missed my family, why not just come home?"I lied, ethan scoffed.

"Bad timing"he said and I raised my eyebrows, folding my arms.

"Am I interrupting something?"I asked.

"You know we're here for derek, cut the crap"aiden said and I looked over at him.

"Then you should know why I'm here"i told him and he sighs.

"Don't get involved"he tells me and I scoffed.

"I was involved the moment you decided to come after my family"i told him and rolled my eyes.

"You know how this will end"he said and I scoffed.

"And you know exactly what I'm capable of"i told him before pushing my way past them both and walking away.

"Wait who's the girl?"I heard one of the betas ask.

"I don't know"

"All these symbols and things... the triskeles, the bank logo, the Mountain ash... all of it is from the Celtic druids. And anyone who has ever looked up human sacrifice before knows that the druids had a pretty big hard-on when it came to giving one up to the gods. You ever hear of the lindow man? 2,000-year-old body found in England? He was found strangled, head bashed in, throat cut. Threefold death. They also found pollen grains in his stomach. Guess what favorite druid plant that was."i heard someone talking to deaton as I entered the vet.

"Mistletoe."I said, making them both turn and look at me.

"A very powerful plant"i continued, walking past them both.

"I didn't know you were back in town luna"he said and I took a sip of my drink, looking out of the window.

"You know I'm never too far away when it comes to my family"i told him before turning to the human.

"Luna hale"i greeted him, holding my hand out.

"Hale? Derek's sister?"he asked and looked at deaton who nods.

"Stiles stilinski"he said and shook my head.

"He knows everything you already told him"i told him and pulled my hand away.

"Then why aren't you telling us?"he asked turning to deaton.

"Maybe because we've spent every moment of the last ten years trying to push something away. Denying it. Lying about it. Becomes a pretty powerful habit."deaton said and I rolled my eyes.

"All right, so this guy... is he a druid?"stiles asked and I shook my head.

"No."I said and deaton nods.

" It's someone copying a centuries-old practice of a people who should have known better. Do you know what the word "druid" means in Gaelic?"he asked stiles, it felt good putting a name to the face.

"No."he answers, glancing between the two of us

" it means "Wise oak."" I told him.

"The Celtic druids were close to nature. They believed they kept it in balance. They were philosophers and scholars. They weren't serial killers."deaton tells stiles.

"Yeah, well, this one is."
