POV Arizona
'Beep, beep'
Lexa's IV ran out.
Before I could get up to get it renewed, Amelia went.
"Stay put, I'll get the IV renewed." Amelia stated.
"Thank you, love." I said before she walked out the room.
Amelia and I have been dating for a long while and recently she moved in with me. We really love each other. And she makes me so happy.
As soon as she left the room I heard whimpering next to me, pulling me out of my thoughts. I turned around and saw Lexa slowly waking up. Eventually she managed to open her eyes.
I quickly check everything and make sure everything is okay. Then Amelia comes back in and noticed Lexa is awake. She quickly hung the IV back on and gave her some medicine through it.
"Where am I?" Lexa asked groggily.
"You are in the hospital sweetie. Do you remember me and Dr Sheperd?" I asked.
"Yeah, I guess. Do you know if my parents are okay?" She asked.
Amelia and I shot a look at each other. She deserves to know the truth.
"Lexa, there is no easy way to tell you this, but you're parents didn't made it. You're dad was already brain dead at arrival and you're moms aorta bled out to quickly in the OR. Dr Altman, Dr Sheperd my brother and Dr Grey did everything they could." Amelia explained with a sad expression.
"We are so sorry." I added.
"No, no, NOO, NOO!" She yelled getting louder. Tears were streaming down her face and she was crying uncontrollably. I knew it was gonna be hard.
I pulled her in a hug, and she flinched before she relaxed in my embrace. I let her cry in my chest until I heard her sobs subside. Amelia kept stroking her back and her hair.
"Dr Robbins I'm so sorry for wetting your lab coat but thank you for comforting me, you too Dr Sheperd." Lexa stuttered out.
"No worries, it's okay. If you want, you can call me Arizona." I said.
"You can call me Amelia, too." Amelia replied.
"What is going to happen now? I have no one. First my brother passed in a softball accident and now my parents." Lexa choked out.
Amelia and I glanced at each other. We need to ask Lexa if she's sure about her brother's cause of death.
"Is there something going on, I should know? You keep looking at each other. I would almost think you were a couple." Lexa asked carefully.
"Actually we are a couple and there is something we want to discuss with you." Amelia stated.
"Really, I'm happy for you. But what do you need to tell me?" She asked anxiously.
Amelia looked at me and I nodded at her.
"Are you sure about you're brothers cause of death?" I asked slowly.
"Yeah, my parents told me. Why do you ask? You're scaring me." Lexa said with fear in her voice and you could see fear in her blue eyes.
Amelia grabbed her hand and held if for support.
"Well, before you're mom went into emergency surgery, she was awake. And she told Dr Altman, our cardiothoracic surgeon who also operated on your mom, that you could never find out about the real reason you're brother died." I explained as best I could.
For a moment it was dead silence in the room. Lexa was in shock.
POV Lexa
Arizona just told me my parents lied about how my brother died. I'm in shock, they lied to me. I felt some tears escaping my eye. I remember how my parents told me how James died like yesterday.
I miss James very much. After he died my parents and I were depressed. My parents took out everything on me since then, I was only 10.
"I can't believe my parents lied to me. But do you know how James really died. Did my mom tell Dr Altman, or whoever that is?" I asked.
"No, sweetheart. No one knows now. I assume James is you're brothers name. We can try to pull out James' death record." Dr Altman is one of the best Cardio surgeons in this hospital. And she is also one of our friends." Amelia explained to me.
I nodded tears streaming down, Arizona was holding my hand and rubbing it.
"Thank you, for willing to help me find out how James really died. I really loved him. I miss him." I started to sob. Amelia pulled me in a hug and I leaned into her.
"Of course. Do you need anything?" Arizona asked.
"No thank you." As soon as those words left my mouth, 2 doctors came in with the same dark blue, navy scrubs as Arizona and Amelia. One was male and the other one was female.
Amelia loosened of me a little and looked up.
"Honey, I'm Dr Grey and this is Dr Sheperd also the other Dr Sheperd' brother and my husband." Dr Grey told me sweetly.
"Yeah, Amelia told me you two were related. Aren't you also the doctors trying to help my dad? Thank you." Lexa said.
"Yeah, we are. We are so sorry for your loss. We came here to talk to you, and you're doctors. But you can call me Derek since you call Dr Sheperd, Amelia. Dr Sheperd said polite.
"And I'm Meredith." Dr Grey added.
"We want to talk to you about what's gonna happen when you get discharged. I assume that Arizona and Amelia have talked to you about you're brother." Derek announced.
I was getting scared again.
"Yeah, his name is James." I replied.
Meredith nodded and continued.
"So, while Amelia and Arizona talked to you, me and Derek went to the chief of the hospital: Dr Webber. We talked to him and social services and we came to an agreement that you have first off the right to find out how you're brother really died. And second off we talked to social services and they said when you get discharged you'll have to stay in a group home if no one other family member or someone else adopts or fosters you. I know this is a lot of information to take in. But we will take the best care of you." Dr Grey finished explaining.
I was really scared and Arizona and Amelia both held my hand.
"Thank you, Derek and Meredith." I said.
Arizona and Amelia looked sad too. Then they looked at each other.
"Well, we have to go. But it was nice meeting you and we're again so sorry." Derek said politely again.
Meredith nodded in agreement and they smiled and waved at me and I waved back, but I didn't pay any attention to Arizona and Amelia anymore.
Meredith and Derek turned around to get out, but before they could, Arizona yelled out.
"WAIT!" She yelled.
"We want to discuss something with you!" Amelia shouted.
