Nell Summers was the epitome of cool girl. At least that's what Rae Earl thought when she first met her. And who could help her when everything about her screamed cool - her cool clothes and cool rings and cool hair and - you get the picture. Nell Summers was the it girl that Rae so desperately wanted to be.
But what Rae couldn't figure out is why she hung around with the rag tag group that Chloe introduced her to when boys from the older years flocked to her like a moth to light - no matter how hard her dark haired, dreamy eyed, chiselled by the gods older brother (more on him later!) tried to fob them away. Not that he really needed to - Nell had always known how to hold her own. (Again, cool!).
But Rae soon learns that first impressions aren't always right. And (although she desperately wanted to!) Nell was having a hard time living up to the fantasy of herself Rae had concocted in her head - because cool girl maybe wasn't as cool as first thought. Cool girl was just a girl who cried a little too much, and drank and smoked and made herself sick when she eats (not so much anymore though!).
But this year was going to be better than last.
Nell Summers could feel it.
