Who planned my future

Chapter 2

Without a doubt, Emily's parents stayed near the hospital. Up to the day she woke up. As the doctors examing her, they realized she had no memory of who she was. This was not the news her parents wanted to hear. This was bad news because her parents had so many questions they needed answered. While Emily was in a coma, she gave birth to a baby girl, by C section. The doctors felt it would be better to take the baby when it was safe.

The baby was given to a relative to take care of. The parents are desperate to find out who the father is. Because they had no idea Emily was even in a relationship. Mainly they were concerned about what the neighbors would say.

They needed Emily to get her memory back. A week later after Emily had awakened, They set up for her to have a physical therapist, come to their home, on regular basis. They even asked her friends from the neighborhood to come by and help Emily try to remember them.

By this time Paul, Emily's best friend had returned from deployment. He was eager to see Emily. He also knew that he would have to explain to her parents, the relationship the two of them had.

One afternoon, Paul could no longer wait to see Emily, so he went to her home. As he walked up to the front door, he was greeted by her therapist. Hello, he said, can I help you, sir? Im here to see Emily, Paul said. Looking quite nervous. The therapist had no idea the parents would object to him being there. So he invited him in.

Emily, you have a visitor, shouted the therapist. He then asked Paul to have a seat. As Paul waited for Emily, He asked the therapist how was she doing? She has a long way to go, getting back to her normal self, he replied. Emily then appears in a wheelchair slowly.

When Emily sees Paul, immediately she has a flashback of her in Paul, under the football stand.

Emily, Paul says very softly, how are you. She moves closer to him and says, I know you, It's just not clear where from, she says. My name is Paul, we were best of friends in high school, Paul said. The therapist was shocked. Do you remember him? asked the therapist. I do, it's foggy, but I do, said Emily. This was exciting to Emily. It was the first sign of her getting her memory back.

Finally, I have some good news to give to your parents, said the therapist. I don't think that would be a good idea, said Paul. You see Emily and I had a secret relationship in high school, said Paul. I wasn't the ideal friend, her parents allowed her to be around back then. The therapist didn't quite understand this concept. But they ask me every day has she had any improvement he said. Perhaps you could return, while they're here. Paul took Emily by the hand and whispered to her, I will see you soon. Try and remember more, Please. And he walked away.

The therapist is left puzzled. Wanted so much to tell Emily's parents of her progress. Also wondering why Paul didn't want him to speak of him coming by.

Paul is really concerned about Emily. When Paul enlisted in the Army, he choose to go into the medical field. With his credentials as a registered nurse, he decided to go to the hospital to look at Emily's medical record. While looking thru her condition and treatments, he was blown away when he sees that Emily has given birth, while in her coma. He was as shocked as her parents. Emily never mentioned she was in an relationship, thought Paul. Things were just not adding up.

He then took a look at the Doctor who treated Emily. Turns out his name is Dr.Reed.He is a married man, and for years his wife and he has been trying to have children. Dr. Reed's wife has suggested adopting. Dr.Reed wanted a child of his own. So for years, they have gone thru many different fertility clinics.

Paul had become concerned about where Emily's child was. More concern about who the father is. Paul anxiously wanted to speak with both physicians. Mainly the Doctor that delivered Emily's baby. When  Paul asked to speak to the delivery doctor, he had no problem. he was just as concerned as Paul was. His name was Dr.Mitchell.

Dr.Mitchell said he was about to go to the medical board Because Emily became pregnant why she was in a coma. Therefore she was either artificially inseminated or assaulted while she was in her coma. The two of them decided to speak with Dr. Reed, before going forward with the complaint.

Paul and Dr.Mitchell set up a private meeting with Dr.Reed. Dr. Reed had no idea what the meeting was about. How can I help you, gentlemen, he asked.

We not here to take up your time said Paul, we just need some answers . We are all here on behalf of Emily, Im sure you remember her said Dr.Reed, she was your comatose patient. Yes, I do respond Dr.Reed. When did you realize she was with child, Paul asked. Dr. Mitchell immediately said, I love to get into that conversation, but I don't have the time, it's a very sensitive subject. How about you gentlemen, check with me later and we can speak of this in a more timely matter. I wouldn't wanna give you any false info, I would need her medical records in front of me.
