Birds of A Feather (APH Fanfic) [DISCONTINUED]

-One Year Later-

Andrew's hair fell to her shoulders in waves. But now was in a single braid thanks to Oliver. Francois had not yet picked up the kids for spring break. And the chances of such an event happening were slim. "When's your Birthday, Drew?" Asked Jasper, as the three sat in the front yard. Allen playing a competive game on his DS while Andrew and Jasper combed through Kuma's fur.

"The Birds said it was the day I first saw them. The 13th day of the fourth Month. If I remember" Andrew said. Oh yes, she told them all about the Lab, the birds, and she started teaching them LX. Which they practiced often with Oliver. Once they knew enough, she would start to tell them the stories she grew up with. Ones of fearless heros, fairies, and magic. "Rintio, Rintio, Rintio!(1)" Allen shouted at his game as he killed the monsters.

Oliver opened the front door. "Francois is on his way, kids" He said. "Kay!" Shouted Jasper and Andrew in unison. Andrew moved her shoulders as the front door shut. "I don't like going to Shiki's(2) house. It smells weird and I can't have my wings out" Said Andrew sadly. Allen didn't look away from his game as he pat his sister's back. "Don't worry, Andrew. This time you can meet Flavio, Luciano, Lutz, and Egil" said Allen.

"Oh? There are more kids like us?" Asked Andrew. Since meeting everyone she's come out of her shell alittle bit. Not enough to being school with the boys, but getting there. "Yeah! Flavio loves fashion, Luciano's a grump, Lutz is really quiet, and Egil is extremly optamistic. Lutz is German, Egil is Icelandic, and the other two are Italian" Said Allen.

Silence fell upon them. "RATTSHI(3)" Yelled Allen as he died in the game. Andrew's head snapped to look at him. "Diri oe kai koruutti huri(4)!" She scolded. Allen said he was sorry. "You can't say that until you're older" Said Jasper. "Well Andrew taught it to us!" aruged Allen. "Just because it's the name of an animal!" Andrew agrued back. "We call them Donkey's now, not 'Ass' " Said Allen.

"How was I supposed to know that?!" Growled Andrew. Allen and Andrew looked at eachother meanacingly until there was a knock at the front gate. There was a boy, around twelve or so, looking in the yard at the nine year olds sitting in the grass. He had bright green eyes, and pinkish blonde hair. Francois stood next to him.

"I have to watch Richard and the other kids for awhile" Said Francois grumpliy. Allen and Japser got disgusted faces at the mention of the new boy's name. They stood up, as did Andrew. "Whose that?" Asked Richard in a rude, snobbish British accent. Pointing a finger at Andrew. "Zhat, is Oliver's new... thing" Said Francois. He still could not cope with having yet another kid to look after. Especialy one who asked so many obvious questions.

If Oliver adopted another boy, it'd be alittle more okay. At least the boy would be able to play sports and do something useful. Francois didn't think Andrew could do anything helpful.

The kids lifted up ther backpacks, previously removed of all school notebooks. Inside was clothing, small game systems or books, and toothbrushes. But for Andrew there was a hairbrush she had to share with Jasper. His hair was easily messed up. Andrew and Jasper said goodbye to Kuma, then waved to Oliver. Who came outside to greet Francois and say goodbye to his kids.

"Don't let Richard play too rough" Oliver warned. "And why not?" Asked Francois. "Because last time he did and Allen lost his front tooth" Oliver said. Said front tooth was now grown back. But the next time it wouldn't. The kids were put in the black car Francois was driving. Richard sat in the front seat.

"Where are you from, Richard?" Asked Andrew. "I'm Sealand. It's totally a country" bragged Richard, his voice full of over-used confidence. "You're from Sealand?" Asked Andrew. Allen sent Richard a 'shut-up right now' look. Richard ignored it, as Francois sat in the car and started to drive. "I'm both. I am Sealand and I am from Sealand" bragged Richard. Andrew turned to Jasper, as she sat in the middle of the backseat. She whispered in his ear.

"Iit kii faru?(5)" She muttered. Japser facepalmed, chuckled, then looked at her. "Prito. Hiri arri Canadan*. Allenn* kii American*. Furru jurui goiil?(6)" He replied softly. Andrew thought back for a moment. "Prito, prito. Kawa yurru immi(7)" she answered. "Quiet. I need to drive" said Francois as he turned on the radio.

So much translating. But this language thing is fun to create. X3

*When saying the name of a person who hasn't grown up with their first language as LX, or with saying the name of something unfamiliar to one from the Lab- like a country or a foreign phrase- it is required to put the 'n' sound afterward, even if the word ends in the letter N. (like saying 'American' in LX is 'Americann'. Just drag out the N sound) As a sign of respect and acknowledgement towards that person or thing.
