Rhythm's Pov:-

Sitting near the window, putting on my earplugs, I was travelling back to my home. I'm scared and anxious, I'm trying my best to calm myself but I can't. No matter what I do, put on songs and try to distract, My father was the only thing I could think of.

His health and his condition were the only things running in my head, I kept praying and praying to god. I can't lose him. I just can't. The thought of losing him itself makes my heart beat faster than ever, almost as if I'm gonna die.

Nothing matters more than my father to me.

"Rhythm?" My grandfather called while glancing back at me,

"Ha Dada ji(Grandpa)" I pulled the earplug out of my ear and looked at him, he's sitting in the driving seat and I'm in the passenger seat.

"He'll be fine, don't worry so much," he said glancing at me through the rear mirror, I just smiled and nodded my head.

I hope he's fine!

As soon as Daada stopped the car, I stepped out of the car and rushed into the hospital. I tried my best to not let these tears rolling in my eyes flow down my cheeks, I have to be strong for my mother and handle her.

I hope she's fine!

I hurried to the receptionist, I opened my mouth and tried to ask her, but words weren't coming out.

Come on Rhythm, Be strong.

"Salman Hussain... Whe-Where is he?" I asked, my tone weak and desperate.

"One second," She said, "Maam, He's in ICU... Go straight and turn right, and straight,"

"Thank you," I said and rushed in the direction she just said. Tears were rolling down my eyes, I couldn't just stop myself from sobbing as I ran towards my dad.

Dad!

My eyes landed on my mom, sitting on the waiting chairs. She looked extremely broken and her face was clearly telling how long she had been crying. My brother was sitting beside her and holding her as she kept sobbing.

Looking at her in this condition, my heart clenched inside and I couldn't stop myself. I never saw my mother crying this way ever, it broke my heart as I watched her crying.

"Mama," I called while strolling towards her,

She turned to me, tears were streaming down her eyes. I rushed to her, hugging her as she laid her chin on my shoulder and cried.

"He'll be okay," I assured her while hugging her and sitting beside her,

"Dada, Dadi," My brother, Osman Hussian rushed to them.

"How's he?" Dadi asked, tears rolling down her eyes,

"Doctor said, he lost a lot of blood from the shot, and he's in serious condition," Osman said,

Dadi gasped and tears kept streaming down her eyes, "Where's Aadil?" Dada asked looking for my uncle, Aadil.

"He's talking to the doctor," Osman replied,

"Mama, Please he'll be fine... he's strong... he will be absolutely fine," I kept assuring my mother while inside I was beyond worried and scared.

Dadi and Dada were sitting with Osman. We were all anxious to know dad's condition. Mom was continually crying and no matter what I said, she wouldn't stop.

As I was holding mom, I noticed Dada gesturing Osman to step aside with him from the corner of my eyes. They both moved aside from us and both were talking in a low voice so that no one could hear them.
