Sparkling pulled on the door one more time to make sure it was locked properly. Once he was satisfied, he put the keys to the bar in his pocket. It was late, so everyone had already left, including Vampire Cookie, his most loyal patron, meaning he was tired, lonely, and eager to get home.

The crisp night air chilled him to the bone. He wrapped his arms around himself to try and get some warmth, and started walking. Already knowing the route home by heart, mostly because it wasn't that long of a walk to begin with.

As he walked, he thought about his life as always. Perhaps tomorrow or the day after that he could coax Herb Cookie into finding something new for him to serve. It was always fun to mix up new things and see his patrons enjoy them. That was the best part of the job, really. Getting to make his little drinks.

Although, sometimes he did wonder about his customer's lives, too. Did they consider him a friend? Or just another service man? Although it would be nice to have more friends, he hoped it was the latter. Keeping up more relationships then he had at the moment would be exhausting.

He thought about the friends he did have. Mint Choco Cookie was going to have another performance soon, wasn't he? He would have to get a ticket to that. And Cheesecake Cookie, would she be having a party? Of course she would want him to come, that was a given. And that blue friend of hers, would they be invited as well?

Sparkling was, in fact, so preoccupied with his thoughts that he almost did not realize that he was getting very, very lost. But once he did, he stopped and looked around. He was closer to Herb Cookie's flower shop than his own home. He pulled his phone out of his pocket to use his gps, only to find that it wouldn't turn on.

Shit.

Now, he had a few options. He could go back and try and start again, just paying attention this time, he could ask someone around for directions, or he could keep walking and hope that the divine was on his side tonight.

Looking around, he noticed a group of cookies walking right in front of him. So, he decided to give it a try.

He cleared his throat. "Excuse me, I'm lost and my phone is dead. Is there any way I could borrow one of yours?"

"Please?" He added.

The group of cookies stopped, and turned to face him. There were four of them, each with a wildly different style. One was wearing a black hoodie and jeans, the one next to them wore a plain white button-up and dress pants, not unlike his own outfit. Another who had been leading the group had a very comfy looking sweater. The last one, for some reason, wore a t-shirt and shorts. All of them, however, had short hair in some shade of brown.

"I don't see why not." Said the leader, and pulled his phone out of his pocket, unlocking it before handing it to him. Oh, thank the divine he had seen them. "Thank you." He responded, immediately finding the navigation app and pulling it up. It took him a second to type in his address, and when he did, he handed it back to the other man. "Just tell me where to go. I don't want you thinking I'm gonna run off with it or something."

As soon as he was done, he realized his mistake. This random stranger would now know where he lived. But it was too late to change his decision now, so he made a mental note to make sure he locked his door when he got home.

"Sweet. Start walking that way." The leader said, pointing behind him. Sparkling nodded and began to walk. He heard the group following behind him, and after a few minutes the leader came up to his side.
