-Thanks again for reading taking the time to read this. My original work is saved on Google Docs and I decided to take each chapter and break it up into two or three parts from the original for here.-
-Enjoy-
-Author's Note: Here's an ideal image of Danny. Just, with an older vibe. I did start writing this when I was in middle school, like, in 2007/2008.

James had been Austin's friend for the last few years. He was tall, about five foot, eleven inches, and had a lean build. James was a year older than Austin, which put him up one grade so they usually only see each other at the end of the school day.
"Your dad not come today?" James asked.
"Work kept him. He wants me home asap cause I'm grounded right now." Austin said.
"Then hop in and we'll go somewhere other than your place." James smiled.
"You always know what's on my mind." Austin chuckled.
-Later that day-
"You're home." Danny said as Austin walked into the door.
"Yea, took me a little longer than normal with walking." Austin said, adjusting the sunglasses on his face.
"You were getting high again, weren't you?" Danny asked, still looking at his book that he was reading.
"No, what are you reading?" Austin asked.
"Inferno." Danny said, still not looking at Austin. "And to answer your earlier question, no."
"But-" Austin started.
"DON'T!" Danny interrupted. "You were meant to be home, and instead of here, you went off and got high. AGAIN!" Danny slammed the book closed. "I know I'm hard but I don't know how else to be with you. If I just give up my sense of control and just let you do whatever-"
"I'll be happy! I love you but I can't keep going under this much stress!" Austin said.
"Stress? What stress?" Danny said, getting up and going to Austin's room. "If you want stress..."
"What are you doing? Danny, stop!" Austin cried as Danny grabbed a bag and started shoving some of Austin's clothes in it. "I don't want to leave here, Danny, please stop!"
"But you just said you can't live with this stress, which means you don't want to be here. Isn't that right? I'm too much for you so now you don't have to deal with me. Tell me where you want to go and I'll take you there. I'll even pay for a Motel room for a few nights." Danny said, taking the bag and throwing it into the back of the car and slamming the door closed.
"I want to be here, I want to be with you! I'm YOUR son, please... please, don't..." Austin continued to cry, tears falling from his face. "You promised! Please don't throw me away!"
