It was now December 22, 2016. Lavender's birthday was tomorrow. We couldn't wait to see our princess turn 1!!!

Kenz came back from another photo shoot and greeted us before showering.

A few hours later, It was her bathtime, and of course, she didn't want to. Every time we led her to it she ran away and roamed throughout the home trying to avoid the tub. We put some of her favorite toys in and she jumped in. After that was done, she put her new sweater on snuggling under my blanket.

Kenna: "Sweetie, there's a bush growing on top of her head, Mind if I trim it a bit?"

Me: "Sure! Thick hair at such an early age is a good sign."

Kenna smiled before leaving. The baby played with the curls on top of my head. I tried to take the blanket so I could wrap it around her so she could be a cozy lil' 'burrito' but she denied it.

She perhaps loved the softness, warmth, and scent of the blanket. Needless to say, I bought her a 'princess' necklace a few days before. It was light enough for her to hold it. I could tell she was loving it.

I could tell she was loving it

Lavender: "Nuuu."

She made a cute little noise making me smile and chuckle.

After a couple more attempts to lightly pull it from her, I decided to give up.

Me: "Pls?"

Lavender nodded no before snuggling up with it more. She didn't want to let it go so I let her sleep with it.

I chatted with her a little bit before reading a bedtime story and letting her hit the hay

I chatted with her a little bit before reading a bedtime story and letting her hit the hay. A cute little spinning toy slowly twirled over the crib before she was lulled to sleep.

(In the kitchen)

We (quietly) prepared the party, and the cake while she was sleeping because it was a surprise. Once we got everything, We went to sleep. Her room was right across from mine and we let ours and her door stay ajar throughout the night for added safety and courage.
