It was autumn, the leaves started falling off the trees in beautiful colours. Painting the pathway as my boots treaded along.

Here I walked, interlocking my hand with a ginger cat. Letting him provide all his warmth to my hand.

"We will have to start thinking about Halloween decorations" Kyo said breathing out to see the condensation.

"I wonder what the school is going to do about the Halloween festival" I spoke imagining all the spooky stuff.

Just thinking about it made a spider crawl up my back causing me to shiver.

"Are you a scaredy cat!" Kyo mocked laughing.

It took me a second before I punched him in the shoulder.

"You can't say anything cat!" I laughed as he agreed.

Finally we saw the school gates and we let go of each other's hand.

It's been just over a year since me and Kyo confessed our feelings for each other. We still act like best friends in school as we wanted our relationship to be private for now.

The day we moved up the year into second years was the day things became stressful. We had much more responsibility and work.

Sometimes it does bother me, but what bothers me the most is so many girls find Kyo attractive. I can't really have a say in it since I'm not technically dating him in school.

But I'm just happy to be in love with him.

"Y/N! Over here!" Her familiar voice sounded from afar.

I could pinpoint her voice in a crowd of people.

"Tohru!" I smiled running up to her, like I hadn't just seen her this morning.

As I got to her she looked down at the clipboard she was holding looking visibly stressed.

"Everything alright?" I smiled peaking over her shoulder.

"Yuki is so overloaded with student council I decided to help, I'm just so lost! There's so many things to do for the festival I'm not sure where to start" she said looking at the list in front of us.

"I don't mind running a few with you" I smiled as she nodded.

Just then Kyo came next to us gazing at the list, probably getting a shock himself at how many there was.

"Yeah, I'm not doing that" he spat before walking away.

"Pft! Still stubborn as usual!" I said folding my arms over my chest.

Tohru laughed and linked my arm.

"Let's start with the stall ideas" she smiled as I nodded.

We walked around together like two peas in a pod stopping by each and every classroom to write down their ideas for the stalls they want to have at the festival.

Of course not all of them were appropriate.

As we were walking out a girl suddenly stopped me by grabbing my arm.

"Hey Y/N? Right?" She smiled.

I nodded to her question.
