I remember the time I met you. It was an abnormally chilly fall day, like usual. The colours of the dying leaves on the trees were spread across the floor as many formed a thick carpet of amber hues. Across the monotone walkway of the school, it really revamped and made it look alive unlike any other season.
"Error!~"
Dream yelled as she jumped onto me from behind, she was my best friend at the time. I almost landed face first on the concrete, most probably about to shatter a few bones in my body. I yanked her off, making her land on the rough ground.
"What did I say about the random jumping on me?!"
"Nothing."
She acted innocent and smirked maliciously as she sprung back up like nothing happened.
"You shouldn't become an actor, your face is as readable as a book and that's saying a lot."
"You don't need to be so mean!"
She clenched her fists as I chuckled and walked near the academy.
"I'm always mean."
"Mhm."
We began strolling across the school, looking for our classes as I stopped by the cafeteria to grab a hot cup of coffee. They always made some for us since I'd be a regular and they knew exactly how I liked it.
"One coffee..."
He blurted out the rest of my order as I focused on discussing important things with Dream. I turned around, facing my friend then said.
"So... you're coming for the first meetup tonight?"
"Huh?"
"Like, the music club?"
She pondered on her response.
"Ohhh yeahhh. No."
"Why not?"
"My parents are working late tonight and I don't have my bus card. They'll be picking me up but let's say that by the time I get there, it'll be over."
"Mk, so I'll just tell you what you're going to be doing?"
"Guess so."
She took out some old partitions for me.
"Here are old violin pieces that I played for the concert when I was... twelve."
"But I don't play the violi-"
"It can still help you."
"Alright then."
I threw my bag over my shoulder then dropped it onto the floor so I could unzip it. I carefully placed the sheets inside and simply closed it once more.
"Error! Your drink is ready."
The man behind the counter called me. I advanced to it then dropped the money on the countertop as he traded the brew for it. I opened the lid and drank some of it as it burned my tongues. That was fine, I liked it scorching hot.
"How do you drink that?"
"It tastes good."
Me and my friend kept walking by the classrooms, watching if they had similar members. She spotted hers, waved at me and ran off. Luckily, we had somewhat the same course in a similar program, business. I was thrilled when I found out I had three hour classes over five times a week (/s).
At the end of the day, my best friend waved at me and simply walked off to the library where she texted me from. They always gave out the wifi code to regulars and since I wasn't one of them, I never got it. When I took you to the library in my school, you always said it was so small even though it's huge compared to the local one. Universities always have big libraries, it's a must and most probably an unwritten rule.
